How the stuff did our club go to poo so quickly. Gale is weak as pee
Hardwick copped out, did the dirty on the club and two GWS signings,  Gale resigned, Dusty wants out, Rioli wants out, Baker wants out, Bolton wants out. That stuff spreads through a club at any level and infects it badly.

Definitely one of the lowest points in the club's history.. unfortunately this is just the start of pain.

Just had dinner and have calmed down a bit.

However, being a calmer now doesn't hide the disgust I have around today's effort.

27 scoring shots to 20 and we lose. Dominate the 1st qtr and don't put any scoreboard pressure on them

Last qtr 2 goals 5. Some of the easiest misses you'll ever see. Ditto in the 2nd. Game lost when we missed 3 sitters in a row.

As for our co-vice captain J. Short. He coughed up the ball alot but 3 stood out as the they gifted N0rt 3 of the easiest, softest goals. No wonder heads drop

I understand where we are at but I am sick of the school kid mistakes, the half hearted efforts from certain players and more than anything I'm sick of the excuses.

Today was totally unacceptable and rather just letting the coach face the media (though you could tell he was peeved today) it's about time the President surfaced and said something. All the Club has done this year has left it all to either Yze, Balmey or occasionally Benny. Time for the President to speak and say it's being last is unacceptable

Would you rather be us, with a rebuild ahead. Or Sydney, on top of the ladder beaten by over 100 points. And lost 5 of the last 6. It’s crazy times in the afl

WP, take a panadol or 2. This year (and the next2) will be train wrecks....But in 4-5!!! Look at the bigger picture. Most of those playing today won't be there then.

There was an indifference toward the game yesterday.
It was frankly a little bruise free from both sides with the game at the intensity of circle work.

We looked the better side for the most part but the Roos looked liked they wanted it more - fair enough as they have been a joke for 4 years. They’ve won 15 games in 5 years. There’s your context.

To bottom out properly is to rebuild. Anything else is just sooo Essendon.

If Rioli, Bolton and Baker want to go for 5 first rounders then I am all for it. Ideally get a couple next year so that we can pick up 3-4 of the best players in the next 2 drafts.

It’s the perfect platform to build back up as Tassie start to harvest all the young talent for the next 3 years after 2026.

Bigger picture always prevails and I see the next couple of years as an opportunity like we had from 2006 - 2009.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

As I said I am well aware of where we are at right now. But when you walk away questioning effort then I have a major issue

Sometimes it not the loss but how you lose, yesterday is a case in point.

If it's going to ve train wreck then come out and say it, don't play games and just say it. The first bloke who should say it is Pur President who seems to be MIA during what is a bloody dark period for our Club

They want members and fans to kick in $$$ for the redevelopment then show the members and fans some respect and start being honest

We're was the leadership from the senior group all went missing. Momentum killers Short and Taranto. Skills and kicking was amateur stuff. We got a few bad apples in our senior group not on the same need to go. Hopper ,Taranto, Prestia  and Short horrible kicking.

💯 first we have heard of anyone but Yze address the season about time. They have left Yze to the wolves the club at times.Livingstone 10 minutes of bs last week to. Let's hope they have the courage and balls to make hard calls because they don't it will set us back.

Anyone considering the reality that it's not in our medium or long term interest to have won yesterday.

We aren't competing for spot 8. Only thing we have to compete for is pick 1. And we nailed that yesterday, either by design or by incompetence.

I'm not unhappy about it tbh.

Tassie coming soon and draft changes likely next year, so this is our only chance to clean up in a draft. We have loads of ammunition and will have more when we trade players out, unfortunate though that may be.

Need to look at the big picture here. We are very, very well positioned in an allegedly deep draft to set ourselves up for another dynasty.

Look at teams like North with kids like LDU, Wardlaw, Sheezel etc. This year we could pick up an entire midfield of that quality.

Get it done Tiges.

Totally agree. President needs to stand up and start making a presence.

Andy using North as an example is counterproductive to your point. They have been crap and playing for draft picks for how many seasons now and all of that to finish 17th.

I absolutely hate this notion that we need to finish last to properly start this rebuild. Like the difference between pick 1 and 2 is going to be the difference. Notice that the 3 players you mentioned for north, none of them were pick 1…..sheezel, LDU and wardlow all went at picks 3-4.

Tanking is loser talk and creates a horrible standard and environment that can set clubs back a decade.

What’s done is done now. We’ll have pick 1 and for everyone’s sake I well and truly hope that whoever is taken at that pick ends up being the clear standout from the rest of the draft.

Not suggesting we tank. Just suggesting that winning is counterproductive.

At face value the draft pick values are the only measurable indication of a future outcome, so having P1 is a benefit to us.

North still crap but years ahead of us. Just like Hawthorn. It will click sooner than us.
