Ofcourse high draft picks are essential and we need them badly.

But the narrative is we need pick 1 and if we had finished with pick 2 then it would have been a failure and imo that’s just not true at all.

I get your point, but my view is that we're not challenging from the bottom 4 regardless, so we might aswell finish bottom and get pick one. Then all our later picks are one spot higher too.
