Didn't find the President very inspiring TBBH

But certainly didn't miss his little dig at those wanting out

Is anyone inspiring at the club anymore? Even the cleaners at work give me more of a reason to live
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Richmond president John O’Rourke has handed some departing premiership stars a backhander in a not-so-subtle speech delivered at the Tigers’ best and fairest count on Tuesday night.

O’Rourke acknowledged it had been an “extremely difficult and disappointing season”, but praised the loyalty of senior Tigers players who were sticking around to help with “guiding our young players through this next phase of growth”.

“Just by way of example … how fortunate are we to have players of the character of a Nathan Broad?” O’Rourke asked during his speech.

“He is a player who was drafted into an era of, well, immediate club success as a mature-age player. I know through this year, I’m sure he could have explored options to see out his career in his home state, or perhaps look for more lucrative options with other clubs, but he chose to extend for a further two years.”

If the club was smart they'd rig the vote so that the top 4 would be all the blokes who are leaving..... :shh

Going to be interesting to see how many of Bolton, Baker and Rioli finish top 5 given they are quitting the Club. You'd expect Broady, Floss and Nank to make the top 5 on those numbers. So that leaves just two spots for the rest.

Don't think their upcoming departures would impact on the votes that were given in season.

Surprised Rioli is so low

Yes I did, did mention it in my post. But take that out and it was for me at least a "meh" speech

Broady just said he won't be up on stage again tonight. Would be a surprise for mine if he doesn't finish top 5.

Also said he'll take 18th over 13th/14th on the ladder as you can fool yourself into believing you're not as bad as you are with the latter.

He added we're rock bottom and said it isn't good enough.
