6. Also a massive critic. Wasn't as soft and had some games where he really dug in. Am hoping he's not one we rushed to add more years to his contract though. Needs to improve a little more and keep being somewhat consistent to remain beyond 2025 IMO.

4 coming off a base of 1.... :shh

I agree with this rating but have no interest in the “head over the pill” shyte that people value in his game. Hard running both ways with offensive run and elite kicking (long or short as circumstances dictate) inside 50. Which I doubt he can do.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Legitimately improved, even not looking at the numbers, which are up across the board, you could just see it watching the games.

Still unconvinced he is a long term player for us, however this season was definitely a good start to proving otherwise.

6.5/10

Are his numbers up im not so sure on that. His numbers remain alarmingly low imo.
He actually managed to be competetive thats his improvement.

I have a lot who fall into the category of it should not be too hard to get a reasonable upgrade. Still think he is there.
Did enough this year to save his arse but boy he needs to continue to improve.

Literally all of the stats posted to open this thread are UP from every other season. Unless the definition of up has changed recently, then yes, his numbers are up  ::)

WEll bugger me his numbers are at the top of the page so hang draw and quarter me for not noticing.
You in all seriousness are not basing improvement on those minimalistic increses are you. As i said his numbers remain alarmingly low.
His numbers in anyones language are unacceptable.

I did say that I could see it watching the games and the numbers backed it up that he improved this season.

I’m not a big fan, never have been but I can also recognise that he showed improvement this season and if he can keep doing that, maybe he’ll prove me and all the other doubters wrong.

I think most are saying he improved at least physically by actually competeing at contests.

I'm saying it again but we have so many players who just do not get enough ball.
Im not sold on his footskills or his numbers which as you say have minimally improved in some areas but just are not good enough.

He is 23 and as i said atm he is very much in what i call upgrade territory. We have far too many in this area.
Like everyone i hope like hell he can keep improving i really think he needs to. If he stagnates next year id say time to move him on.

Virtually every metric has improved.

If he can improve again in 2025 we will have a solid player.

As far as our list is concerned I would have him very low on our list of problems. The other issue really is the opposite wing where we will still be playing an ageing KMac.

Yet virtually every metric is still way below what is required.

Like Dio said he's gone from 1 to 4 with a long way to go still.
