26 Oct 2024Richmond will hold a viewing party at club headquarters for fans to watch the 2024 AFL draft.
The Tigers hold pick No.1, as well as seven other selections in the top 24 for one of the biggest draft hands in recent history.
The bevvy of selections came after the Tigers finished last on ladder and then traded away premiership stars Shai Bolton, Liam Baker and Daniel Rioli.
With a full-scale rebuild on the cards, fans can watch who the club will select in the first round of the draft on November 20.
7NEWS chief AFL reporter Mitch Cleary revealed the club will charge members $25 (non-members $35) to attend the viewing party at Punt Rd.
“Richmond will hold a watch party for fans on draft night at Punt Road - $25 to soak up the club’s biggest evening since the 2020 GF,” Cleary tweeted.
Tickets will include finger food and entry into a raffle with prizes on offer.
All funds from the night will go to the Strong & Bold Foundation.
With picks No.1, 6, 10, 11, 18, 20, 23 and 24, the Tigers are open to trading some of those selections to move further up the draft order or even into next year.
“All those things are on the table, we’re open to all those things,” Richmond CEO Shane Dunne told 7NEWS.
“We’re still developing our best strategy and we’ll finalise that over the coming weeks.”
