Also defs need to list Prestia as an inside mid.

I reckon balta will play forward all year in the inevitable absence of lynch due to tweaking his fingernail.  I foresee some new kids being played in the backline to give them games after they realise miller is a spud and our backline leaking like a sieve.

No team will look more different than Richmond in 2025. The Tigers lost some of their best players – Daniel Rioli, Shai Bolton, Liam Baker and Jack Graham – to other clubs, plus Dustin Martin and Dylan Grimes to retirement. It meant Richmond had six first-round picks in November's Telstra AFL Draft. Sam Lalor, Josh Smillie, Jonty Faull, Luke Trainor and Harry Armstrong are all expected to get plenty of opportunities in Adem Yze's second season in charge, while Taj Hotton is recovering from a knee reconstruction. Judson Clarke, Mykelti Lefau, Tylar Young and Josh Gibcus are all still recovering from ACL tears.

It's a bit sad Thompson Dow only makes the emergencies given we are playing how many 0 game newbies in that lineup.

Nah what was sad was seeing him get games ahead of a guy like McAuliffe last year and it will be sad AF if he gets games above either Lalor or Smillie in '25.

I'm glad you have Banks as an emergency as he is a momentum killer. Whenever he gets a mark or free kick he often takes too long to decide where to kick the ball, by then all options are closed and he has to kick it

long to a pack. Our coaching staff need to coach him to to move the ball quickly even if the option is only 20 mt. away. (this presumes that he hasn't been instructed to hold it up).

I attended a briefing held by Dimma about 5 years ago, he said he would hear the crowd yelling move it on, kick it , etc etc.

He said he'd be in the box saying slow it down, slow it down :)

I have Lefau, Nankervis, Hopper, ,Lynch and Prestia playing only about half the year before they are injured. So there will be plenty of spots for kids.

Actually think we will start without all of Gibcus, Young, Lefau, Clarke to allow full recovery.
Also Lalor, Hotten, Trainor for recovery and Faull, Armstrong, Sims and Alger for physical development. Only Smillie to start.

Brown       Balta        Short
Banks       Blight       Vlastuin
McIntosh  Taranto     Ralphsmith
Mansell    Fawcett     Smillie
Ryan        Lynch       Campbell
Nank       Hopper      Sonsie
Broad    Ross    McAuliffe   Prestia

Over the season I expect Gibcus, Smith, Young, Trainor, Tresize to come into the backline.
Lalor, Hotten, Lefau, Clarke, Green and Smillie into the midfield.
Armstrong, Faull, Sims, Alger and any of the above into the forward line.

May well only have one or two wins by mid-season when we get a good look at all our players but no problem, 2 more gun mids in 2025.

Can't remember which news service it was (Ch7 perhaps) said Lalor is starting in the rehab group as the
Cub wants to manage him after his injury issues in 2024

Gibcus should be good to go surely. Did his ACL in round 1. I don’t think playing 12 months later is rushing him back.

Agreed
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
