Yze said Smillie will play in the VFL either this week or the week after. Depends on how he pulls up from yesterday's training. We're going to be cautious with him so it sounded more like he'll play the following weekend.

Club being super cautious and maybe s little scared of supporter back lash if he reinjures himself quickly.
Must have been a hamstring tendon issue for it to be this long.

2nd or 3rd this season? If it’s 3 then that’s concerning regardless of how small it is.

Just a big kid adjusting to the rigours of AFL/VFL football.

There’s no rush to play him .

Last year and they’d be playing him this week or next. Clearly there’s something there they want to get and understand.
I doubt the same approach was taken 2 years ago with Gibcus.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”
