Haha! Riley Beveridge just said North went to every club in desperation offering their F1 starting from pick 8. We said thank you very much  ;D.

If that’s true, then pretty unreal we were the 1st ones to accept, especially after say a pick 15 or so.

Seems a strange deal from Norths point of view, what's pick 27 worth? And their F1 is likely to be a top 4 pick

Yes and we give them our f2 likely to be mid 20's

Essentially 2 mid 20's for a pick that could be 5-10. Is it really that good?

Let's see where they finish next year

Yes, 2 picks in the mid-late 20s for a pick in the top10 really is that good.

If they somehow become a top8 side, then we can have another conversation.

History would suggest North won't be bottom 4. Think they've now equalled the most bottom 4 finishes in a row. I think this pick will be picked 6-8. Which is still a huge win.

Pick 27 + F2 (pick 20) = Pick 7 in terms of draft points.

Pick 27 + F2 (pick 22) = Pick 8

Pick 27 + F2 (pick 24) = Pick 9

Pick 27 + F2 (pick 27 or 28) = Pick 10

https://www.draftguru.com.au/pick-value-calculator

What our F2 is worth next year depends not only on where we'll finish (likely last) but also on how many Academy & F/S bids there will be in the 2025 draft.

not that much of a godfather deal IMO. Also it doesnt factor in what we are giving up in this draft, vrs a weaker one next year.

guys like Shanahan, whitlock and dodson. North is a safe bet for a top 5-7 pick. Any other club is not so i hope we dont give it up and choose one of the boys mentioned esp the former.

If another club offered a F1 around 5-10 pick for P28 I'd be considering it.

To have another 3 in the top 10 for 2025 would be sensational.

which club andy?

i would be very careful giving it to a club like cats or pies. In fact on principle tell them to fo. Dogs, eagles have the next 2 so you would think it not them. Suns have enough talent so its not them.

keep the pick Richmond.

West coke for example, any club we think is a bottom 4 chance really.

Elsewise I like the 3 you mentioned but I'd be quite reluctant not to take a ruck ie Dodson.

I’d certainly consider trading for a top pick next year. We’ve already taken 2 key position forwards, not sure we should be taking another. Maybe a key back if there’s one we still rate highly like a Jack Whitlock (although he’s listed as a fwd), or a ruck like Dodson. I’m not a big fan of drafting rucks, they are such a coin flip which almost always don’t pan out at their original clubs.

Think it depends if there is a player that fits the mpuld we need.

Do we need a 3rd KPF in the draft? Jack Whitlock and Jobe Shanahan are still there. Unsure if we pick 3.

Do we take another mid which we only have drafted 2 but 2 elite mids. Gross and Moraes are there.

Can't see us taking Dodson the ruck.

If we aren't taking another Key Forward, which I'm open too but 3 in 1 draft is rare. Id trade the lock to any bottom 12 club for a F1.
