Rhett Bartlett has posted on youtube a full game replay of Richmond vs St Kilda from 1977. Apparently, the footage was rescued by a Carlton supporter from a storage unit 20 years ago whose contents were about to be thrown in the trash.
Anyway, a period that was between the Hafey and Jewell premiership eras. Royce Hart had retired earlier in 1977. Sheeds and Wayne Walsh were nearing the end. Blokes like Neville Roberts, John Pitura and Graham Gaunt would leave at the end of the season. However, 10 Tigers in the team this day would go on to play in the 1980 flag.
