I watched the whole game unfortunately. I also watched one of the worst performances from Keays for the year.

If that was Campbell you would be saying well done for flying the flag after turning in a poo performance?

If yes then fair enough. That's not my view no matter how much of a wanker Maynard is...which he is.

ps. De Goey will get off for that high bump (they'll argue the impact wasn't sufficient), but it'll just show how the MRO just makes it up when it suits them. Marlion Pickett a couple of years ago copped a week for only a shepherd because the MRO said, 'any high contact is automatically rated medium impact'  ::).
De Goey escapes suspension for the Worrell hit. Only a $2000 fine for low impact rough conduct. Keane gets a fine for his forearm to Sidebottom which bounced off his shoulder and made some high contact.

I would have thought the cats would have something to say about a flag this year.

They also have to get past a likely lions at the g.

Hopefully someone beats them. Crows were junk tonight. What a fool keays is trying to fight at the end. He played one of the worse games of his career
You may be right FJ after tonight. Geelong made the Lions tonight look second rate. Absolutely smashed then in the guts. Worst still for Brisbane is Neale could miss the rest of the finals with that calf injury.

no one dislikes the pies supporters more than me i wouldnt have thought, but gee cats supporters give them a run for their money.

i was at last nights game and they are such dilusional supporters. Those 2 stupid free kicks were wrong, but fmd the carry on was like they are somehow up against it each week from the afl and the umps.

it was crazy scenes, and i have to say i dont think i have heard as many c bombs thrown around than i did last night and that's saying something..

that being said cats only chance to knock off the pies. IMO they both play off in a Granny.

My first experience of Cats supporters was my first trip down to Kardinia Park when I was a kid in the early 80s. Talk about a ground full of the extras from the movie Deliverance  :help. While Pies fans are feral, Geelong supporters live in their own echo chamber of entitlement. It's been made even worse in recent years with AFL HQ full of Geelong sycophants.

Add Gold Coast losing to Port as well gifting the Pies back a top 4 spot.

So now we have Collingwood playing an interstate side at the 'G in one Prelim and likely Geelong vs Hawthorn in the other one (I think they'll beat the Rankine-less Crows). The Grand Final is going to be insufferable no matter who wins it if that's the case  :P.

#FreeKickHawthorn

Williamson might as well have put on a Hawthorn jumper in that last quarter. Two dodgy frees that changed the momentum and set up the two matchwinning goals for the Hawks. It's not HTB when you go to kick the ball and the opposition knocks the footy away during the ball drop  ::).

As for the Giants, their "orange tsunami" is great to watch when it is in full flight (3rd quarter comeback), but you're not going to win finals playing just 15 mins of the game on your terms. That's the third straight year they've failed in finals under Kingsley.

So far 3/3 for my non-preferred winners.

Makes me sick.

Confirmed Lachie Neale will miss the rest of the finals due to that calf injury. Huge loss for Brisbane.

Gold Coast deserved the win, but you would think by now sides would learn you can't win games going into your shell, especially finals. The Suns did it first in the last quarter which gave all the momentum and territory to Freo to comeback and grab the lead. Only after going behind were the Suns forced to wake up again. It was then Freo who stupidly tried to save the game when Cox ignored Brayshaw wide open in the centre and instead kicked it sideways which kept the ball in their D50 with two minutes to go. Cox then tackles Swallow without the ball in scoring range, and it costs Freo the game and their season. Just dumb footy.

ps. The AFL will be happy with the result. They now get their first Qld derby final next week.
