One the Pies, Cats & Hawks now will win the flag  :chuck. Thanks pretender interstate sides losing on their home deck ::).

Only positive from tonight is our draft strategy is following Hawthorn's. Going full on rebuild after a dynasty and bringing a new young group through together. If we do copy them timeframe wise, the next few years will be locked near the bottom, but we'll rise back into finals by 2029 and a Prelim by 2030.

Yeah, that's true. Clarkson did drag it out another year compared to us as he stayed until 6 years after the Hawks' last flag. Whereas Dimma quit 3 years after our last premiership and we started our rebuild proper really only this year 5 years since the 2020 flag.

It would be great to get some young FA to help accelerate the rebuild, but IMO we won't attract too much interest until we look like rising up the ladder in a couple of years time.

I mentioned this in another thread, rome wasnt built in a day.

grigger and Bachar didnt think the same when they came over. Joined almost exactly the same time in our last rebuild.

Lets start now.
