Melbourne trade Clayton Oliver to GWS for a Round Three selection (tied to GWS) in the 2026 Telstra AFL Draft.

I would only pick him if he agreed to change the spelling of his surname to the above post.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Hello fire sale at the Dees.

Reckon they're happy to be rid of him.

Timing is so critical to generate even an opportunity of top 4 success at AFL level.

Case Study of Melbourne. Goodwin rolls the dice at the end of 24 for 25 season survival when the premiership window has clearly passed and Alan Richardson lets him get away with keeping Petracca and Oliver when they could have maximised trade & draft timing in 2024.

At least they got something for Petulantacca in 25 however draft depth timing is out, and are 12 months closer to Tassie introduction.

Blair learnt the lesson after allowing Hardwick to spend draft capital for a tilt, however as a club had draft intel to quickly pivot.

We've just seen a couple of clubs have no coherent list & drafting strategy and be very reactionary.

The Bummers have not learnt from the Daniher exit and rinse & repeat outdated processes. Long may they yield.

Reckon Ugle-Hagan will be very handy for GC.

Assuming pulls the finger out

They just about had to drug him and ship him off in a container with that trade outcome haha bloody hell P74...if you thought the Dees were happy to be rid of Clayton this one is probably even better

I think we have made a mistake not hitting up 1 or 2 players in that mid 20's bracket.

Threw all our eggs into Rosa's and flopped. Our rebuild started with houli and grigg.

Few injuries and we are dead last on the ladder next year.
