We gave the Suns plenty of chances via our turnovers coming out of D50 but they didn't take them (they should've been 5 goals up). Then in the last 5 mins we made of the most of it. In the end we've won both quarters on the scoreboard.

We are very lucky they aren't kicking straight, same as the blues game. Nose in front despite fewer scoring shots and as usual that Rowell is running riot like he always does.

Personally, I expect us to compete each year, especially as we swap out the mud runners for high drafters and returning performers. I haven’t hated anything about tonight so far. We know who isn’t good enough. When Horton, Smillie and Prestia are fit, we will have a competitive yet young midfield. Our defence is already improving and to be honest, batting well above its weight considering how our mids have faired. We need a few mids and HBF with class dash and we’ll be rolling quickly…. Lalor is a freak!
