Lmao Ryan.

Suppose we have no choice when Nank is out, really need to look at a 25 yo ruck from another club, like when we got Nank.

Rioli in just because it’s dream time you’d think. Hoping it sparks some form into him.

Happy with gray over blight, but when will he get a chance when Baltas restrictions are over ?

I’m sorry, but what has Rioli done to justify a recall?
Dreamtime or not, it’s not a great look.

What a bizarre game to decide to rest nank. Already down 2 key talls at either end and while Essendon would be favourites anyway it’s far from an unwinable game.

Not that bizarre when you consider the 5 day break.

Also when you consider the insane amount of stoppages against North and how banged up his body would have been

Although I understand the reason for resting Nank Nank could have played forward against the bombers. His leadership  will be missed. Finally the bombers are weak in the ruck department and Nank could have dominated the centre clearances.

^^^^

And... you can't say how important the Club views this game and then rest your Captain

But whatever

Massive opportunity for Ryan with the Bumbling Bombers relying on Goldstein. Although Goldstein is no slouch, he is a veteran and around ground Samson should have him covered. We will see

What has Steely Greene done to warrant staying in the team?

It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

I am now finally in agreement. Straight swap for Sonsie was the only logical decision. How Sampson gets a game when Sonsie doesn’t defies all logic and dilutes selection credibility

Club happy to throw this game it seems.

If they were serious they'd play nank and just make sure Sims gives him a decent chop out.
Balta would play to 3QT or covered by blight.
Gray would play forward for Lynch.
Alger would come in for green.

Andy I thought you were joking about playing balta. There’s absolutely no way you can go into a game with a planned and forced substitution at 3 qtr time which I would say would probably need to be a lot closer to half time for him to actually be home in time for his curfew. What would happen if a player got injured at the start of the game? We’d be playing 1 man down after balta has to leave.

Agree this was not the game for nank to be rested though unless he has a legitimate injury and if that’s the case they should have specified that.

Nah not joking, every team knows they're making a sub either near the end of 3rd or at 3qt.

If someone is injured before that you're fine, elsewise you're a man down for a while quarter yeah, but I suspect this game will be decided by then.

Balta could definitely be subbed around the regular time but yes I acknowledge your risk, but I think it's worth having him out there for 3 quarters or so. Risk vs reward.
