Mellody was talked about as a soft outside Slow. Skinny. Skilled hbf who is now in the conversation for pick 1. At least from the open players.

Drever is apparently a bit of a jet but can't kick

A thriller see’s Gippsland into the GF with a 2 point win over Sandringham. Butler and Teixiera showed flashes of their elite talent but both obviously underdone. The match winner Leo Stephenson looks a likely prospect in the 2027 draft and Keenan Boi furthered his top 30 chances.

Not a great day for Butler or Tex. Looking like we [Eagles] could miss out on Mellody and Drever.

Mellody had a quietish game in the WAFL Prelim Final albeit he'll get another chance next week as his Claremont are through to the Grand Final.

9 disposals (all kicks), 3 marks, 2 tackles and a goal.

I’m taking HVH at 2. If for whatever reason they aren’t keen on taking him, I’d personally prefer Drever as he seems like the best mid in it that is quick, can run all day and get goals. The draftees weaknesses also get exaggerated so while he probably isn’t the best kick I bet he isn’t bad either. I think they were saying the same thing about Grlj going into last years draft and his kicking looks good to me.

Drama in the Talent League. Sandringham has raised the alarm with the AFL about Gippsland Power having a 19th man on the field in Sunday's preliminary final.

The Power player ran on, kicked a goal, and then ran off and umpires didn't stop the game after being alerted.

Happened in the second quarter and the game resumed after that as normal. Gippsland ended up winning by two points and knocking the Dragons out of the finals.

No protest from the Dragons or overturning of the result expected, but AFL talent team is looking into it.

TIGERS DRAFT TARGETS

- Who at Pick 2?
- The wingman who's an ideal fit
- Club-tied prospects

What one of the main Essendon draft watchers Rick Edwards is saying. A guide to who they want at pick 1 before our pick.

-------
I went and saw Arki Butler and Gus Teixeira make their returns yesterday in Ballarat.

Butler was the more impressive, being really influential when moved into the midfield.

Drever is my preferred guy.

Though Butler will be a very good player at senior level.

But I wouldn’t be unhappy with Harry. He’s so dynamic and impacts games in multiple ways. The most unique player for many years.

Three of the pick 1 contenders were in finals action this weekend, and while none of them really dominated, Arki Butler was the clear standout.  This was his first game back at the top level for a couple of months, which perhaps explains his uncharacteristically poor kicking, but he was a difference maker in moments.  Arki hasn't been a big accumulator this year and his possession count here was again modest, but he showed the ability to break the game open with his pace and movement, especially in his limited rotations through the midfield.  Unfortunately, this will be draft watchers last chance to see Arki in action, with the Dragons ending up on the wrong end of a seesaw contest.

Tsatas delisted by Essendon today.

We were big on him, I rate him decently. Any player at Essendon is worse then anywhere else.

Would be perfect fit IMO with age bracket, potential and experience for our younger boys in the middle. Would much rather Tsatas then Hopper

Pre Season Draft Pick 2 would be perfect to pick him up. Dodgy Dons not facilitating a trade at least is pathetic.
Go Tigers!

No thanks. We have enough list cloggers who we refuse to cut on our list.

He isn’t quick, can’t kick and can’t spread. The opposite of what we need right now.
