Third quarter was a glimpse of whats to come.  Gut running off half back, sharp ball movement with nice decisive skills, good to great defensive pressure keeping the ball in our half, players taking the game on & scoring some good goals.

Not getting carried away, it was against a worse side than us, but we actually looked like a football team at times!

Plenty more work to do but there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Lets play like that very often & give consistent efforts, then we'll be getting somewhere!      :cheers

Harley Reid been good tonight but you wouldn't be paying him the reported $$$$ or giving away heaps of draft capital.
Hope we have moved on.

 :lol :lol :lol :lol

Anyway
Apart from that

MRJ well done. Despite my earlier comments

Jonty Faull. We have one there for sure

Sims. Slow down the pot brigade, let’s see in 3-4 years

How is Sims progressing compared to a certain young ruck that has had plenty of years

Sims is ahead of Ryan at the same age

But as he showed in the 2nd half, when he attacks marking contest he offers plenty. Credit to him

But he does himself no favours when he literally ball watches

Key position kid WP

Reckon he’s showing plenty

WP I agree in that Sims needs to contest better but id say it’s moreso at ground level. In the air think he competes well. In saying that he is ahead of Ryan not just at the same age but at Ryan’s current age lol. 2 years left on his contract…..

For a few weeks people wanted to know what our game style/plan is

Tonight we are seeing it

I saw it vs the afl’s worst team
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Half way through the replay.

Thinking I should go to sleep but heck why not stay up I don't have my kiddos this week.

Faull fmd what a competitor. This kid is going places big time.
MRJ just wow. Stat sheets show f all but he has been electric.
Hotton has shown plenty but above all I just love his pace and vision. I'm officially sold.

Caveat I'm only half way through the replay.

We watching the same game?

The kid is a stuffing jet. If anything I'm more convinced now than 1 hour ago that I'd part with our two first rounders in a heartbeat. Another preseason under his belt and he immediately adds to our midfield, pace and clearances and goal kicking.

Yes but the green shoots and the game style they are wanting to play was there.

If there was anytime it was going to be on show was last night.

It doesn't matter who it was against point is we got a glimpse

I just hope they bring it next week against the Pies.

What happened with Trainor?

Did he just go MIA?

Basically didn't touch the footy for two quarters.

Saw Yze trying to use him to tag Reid in the 2nd quarter which was interesting before moving to the highly effective Ross.
