The Cross of Valor is awarded to Australian civilians for “acts of conspicuous courage in circumstances of extreme peril”.

In 50 years, only 5 have ever been awarded. I believe Ahmed [Al Ahmed] should receive the 6th.

Agree with this tweet. Selfless courage beyond words. A true hero.

ps. Out of interest here's a link to the 5 recipients of the Cross of Valour since its inception in 1975.

Most definitely Ahmed deserves that medal.

Religion of peace strikes again

Hmmm.

All faiths preach peace. Not all religions though.

And yes the majority are 'peaceful'.

But I have to say...I feel like the 'non-peaceful minority' is disproportionately larger in this particular faith or religion.

So people will always say that this isn't representative of the whole, this was two psychopaths etc...but there does seem to be some pattern recognition here.

Have a look at the protests over at the opera. When was the last time you saw an asian, jewish  or christian gathering preaching such garbage of another religion.

i would say a small portion of that religion are good people who assimilate into society. The rest of them are better off where they came from.
