Elijah Hewett has signed a four-year contract extension at West Coast.

Butters looks like he has copped a bad ankle injury. Possibly a syndesmosis.

Looked terrible in the footage.

Hope he's cherry ripe for our preseason at a reduced rate

Super Saturday Live’s Jay Clark shared the latest on the situation, with Port Adelaide preparing for a “severe” outcome.

“It’s a potential high-grade syndesmosis injury for Zak Butters, which could mean surgery and (that) his last game for the club (has been played),” Clark said on Fox Footy.

“They have scans tomorrow to determine the severity - it doesn’t look good.

“That’s a suspected severe ankle injury at this stage.”

In mild cases, syndesmosis injuries - if that’s ultimately his diagnosis - typically require at least six weeks of recovery. In some cases, it’s months.

We need to do anything to get Zak Butters to the club along with Ken Hinkley as coaching director.
6 Melbourne players had more possessions than any Richmond player today.

Great call.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

The Power says Zak Butters needs surgery on a high grade syndesmosis but is determined to make it back for round 24 in what would effectively be a farewell game. He will do everything to make it back. It's less likely given the recovery could be up to eight weeks but the Power won't rule it out. A minimum of four weeks on the sidelines @FOXFOOTY

Mark Stevens reckons Butters to the Bulldogs is almost a done deal.

Stevens on the money id say.

He would be stupid to come to RFC. We are 5 years from competing and it could be more if Yze keeps making stupid decisions.

Bulldogs stuck in no mans land since their last granny - between 9th and 7th with this year no different.
That’s a pattern very unlikely to change.

Bont going on 32
Darcy seems to get injured a lot
Naughton always hot or cold

At least with us you know we have a load of young talent and aren't avoiding quality draft options.

So butters would make a massive difference to us but not to anyone else  :lol

Point is they are closer to a flag than us right now. If he favors the chance for a flag in 5 years he chooses us. If I was a betting man I would  put money on it that it won't be us and certainly not the way we are run at present.
