If Port do get the pick 5 compo for Butters, I'd hope we'd be going after it. Swap our future first. Gives Port an early pick next year they need for their F-S/NGA while we get two goes at the top 5 this year. We can trade back into the first round next year as Tassie has to trade a number of their mid-range first rounders. Either Hopper and/or Mansell.

Essendon fans very confident it'll be 1 (and something?) for 4 and 5

Assuming port use that pick 1 to get someone other than Cochrane, how do they plan to match our Cochrane bid at #2 considering their next picks are in the 20s?

Great point, they'd have to trade in 2 other firsts from somewhere

Yeah that’s why that rumour never made sense to me.

Get that they’d ideally like to get a pick in before the bid comes, but with the new rules making bid matching a lot harder, they need to somehow get their hands on 2 top 10ish picks to match the bid at #2.

He's turned his back on offers from Richmond and Essendon to stick with the Giants. More on @AFLcomau @TradeRadio

Former Collingwood star Bobby Hill has launched an audacious comeback bid, declaring he's once again ready to 'win games for teams'.

Speaking for the first time since parting ways with the Pies, Hill says his love for the game has been reignited.

Would take him on a modest contract provided the club do their due diligence. Will have just turned 27 at the start of the season so physically should still have another hand full of years in him.

Hill definitely has the x factor.  Agree provided the club exercises due diligence maybe worth the risk.

Take him with the additional '  First Nations list spot

' - effectively a fourth Category B spot

Lachie Whitfield looks likely to become a Blue in 2027 after completing a medical at the club on Tuesday.

Melbourne more likely now to turn their attention towards wanting Short.

He was released by Collingwood not that long ago.

Gotta wonder what happened for him to quit in the first place, yet apparently be ready to play again.

Red flags everywhere for me.

Code for I need the money.  Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Would be surprised if anyone does.
