Sonsie goneski. Not too surprising. A bust of a pick but I guess it was 2021 still COVID affected.

Melbourne jump in front of us.  There good in this space.

Do you mean jump in front with regards to getting in on this trade or in terms of the draft? Because we still are 2 picks ahead of them.

They are very good at manipulating their way up the draft.
They are also very good at drafting young talent.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

With Gawn being 35, I’m sure they’re keen on HVH and will pounce if we pass on him. I doubt the eagles take him since they took CDT last season.

Both but I think we would have liked to get HVH with a later pick.  But I'm just summizing that.

PORT'S TOP PICK UP FOR GRABS

PORT Adelaide will field offers for its pick No.5 after Zak Butters' compensation pick landed on a huge Friday of activity.

The Power's draft hand is now placed at No.5, 7 and 12, with the No.7 and 12 picks going to leave Port able to match a bid on Dougie Cochrane with a minimal points deficit if a bid comes on him at No.1.

It means Port has already started talking to clubs about trading out or splitting its No.5 selection, which will now be up for grabs in talks for the rest of this trade period and potentially beyond into the pick swap selection window.

There will be no shortage of interest in their pick No.5 being for sale given it gets a club right into the top zone of the draft, with many clubs viewing the draft as having a clear top six or so selections.

Essendon is among the clubs that have been looking to push up the draft board and has spoken to other clubs about using its draft hand – it currently holds picks 17, 20, 27 after its No.1 pick – to push up the order.

TIGERS' KIDDY COLEMAN INTEREST

RICHMOND is among the clubs that have registered interest in Brisbane defender Keidean Coleman.

Coleman is contracted for 2027 but open to a move after a challenging few seasons with his body since the 2023 Grand Final.

The Tigers are only expected to make a play if Jayden Short is traded, but that move to Collingwood hasn't made progress at this stage.

Brisbane's preference is to retain the 26-year-old, but will consider a compelling offer for Coleman.

With Brisbane not budging on its strong stance, the clock ticking on the trade period and Coleman a free agent in 2027, a move appears difficult at this stage.

Coleman displayed his game-changing ability across the 2023 finals series before rupturing his ACL in the first game of 2024, before injury issues across the past two seasons prevented him from becoming a premiership player under Chris Fagan.

Honestly swap Short for Coleman.

Zorko is surely finished. Short is better than Coleman and takes the number 1 rebound role away from Zorko. We get a younger higher ceiling rebounder.

Short doesnt want to leave VIC however I wonder if that would change if the lions showed interest.

Zorko was one of the best on a few weeks ago in the GF. The cliff will come fast like it does for them all but he’s shown no signs of slowing down yet other than some soft tissue injuries.

Short is contracted so he gets a say i where he goes

The way it is looking he won’t be going anywhere

get coleman anyway with the use of the special compo pick. That with covering a heap of his wage should get him to our club.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I think a hb or teo should be very high on our radarweather its thru the nd or mature f/a trade.

The needed clean out of the general defenders has finally started.
Broad Trezise Smith all gone, Vlastuin turning 32 and nearing the end Short traded out hopefully.

It leaves us with
Banks who id trade if possible and currently so far below average we have to be asking the question about his long term worth.
Brown who is in a similar boat but really need a big year next year.

It leaves just Grlj entering year two.

I have aready suggested Wigmore thru the nd to replace Vlastuin.I think Mellody a great fit for us if we start him across hb.
There is good reason for this we have 5  young mids we need to play thru the mid field and lots start their careers at hb.
It would help provide us with a future quality back half of Grlj Mellody and Wiigmore.
We are currently looking at the kpds we have Annand Miller Balta Gray Gibcus and ive mentioned Trainor. one would hope from that lot we have at least two good defenders. it may end up the case we need to find another atm we have more pressing needs.
. Trainor looks likely to join those three he looks most likely to play third tall atm.

Just to finish i believe Voss would have been an upgrade on at least 4 of the general defenders we had.

Wigmore can't kick so it makes replacing vlastuin suboptimal.

He is ranked at 40 odd for a reason
