It’s a good sign quality young players are missing out .

Trainor had one of the least accurate kicks in the  afl last year. Let’s not pretend he is some sort of prodigy who is guaranteed a spot.

Also heard some rumors about lack of professionalism.

I am surprised about Brown though.

@WP my quote button isn't working, sorry.

Miller and Balta both playing as KPD. Trainor can be a 3rd tall at 195cm.

Bit disappointing dont want to watch the likes of HRS, Short ,Rioli Green,Trezise, Sonsie because i dont think they deserve a spot or have even done enough to be retained. To a lesser extent id throw Banks and Brown in that lot as well.

Banks - Miller - Trainor
Broad - Balta - Grlj

Campbell - McAuliffe - Retschko
Nankervis - Taranto - Lalor

Alger - Faull  - Mansell
Peucker - Lynch - Armstrong

Hopper - Ross - Brown - Gray - ######

Trainor because he provides a bit of run, Gibcus out does not look back up to the pace yet and with Miller and Balta is superfluos to needs with them in the team. Add in defender Gray who gives them tall cover in both the ruck and defense and im really wondering about Gibbo being picked at this point in time.

Picked Brown as the 7th defender free him up and let him run and carry a bit more than he does.

How on earth HRS is picked before Retschko is beyond me how many softies are they gunna play.
Campbell to the other wing and McAuliffe to the mids where he belongs adding some pace aggression spread and defensive running.

Alger in front of Both Rioli and Green talk about constantly given walk up starts on the back of very little.

Would love to be able to pick a mid who can get a bit of his own ball and has pace  for the 5th bench spot  but there is noone so left it open

Agree on Brown/Gibcus

Retschko is behind Kmac, HRS and Sonsie as wingman. Not sure he's done anything to warrant a game but neither has Hugo

Thought Retschkos preseason was as good as any of those mentioned apart from McA in games..His attributes for the role are the best in the club outside of Campbell.
Why keep doing the same things over and over those players did not work last year what have they done to change anyones mind.
Playing McA  as a wing when we are lacking mids with pace and the ability to spread and run with a player is madness.

All of gray,  miller, balta gibcus broad are not needed.

Caddy is a kpp Brown is a hbf despite having a bit of exagerated height. Its funny when myths become reality. For some Brown is now tall enough to play on kpps and hes big enough as well.
He is a medium sized defendeR and is suited to playing hbf  on mediums and smalls kpf will kill him in the air.

I'd go outs:
Short, HRS, Gray, Mansell, Trezise, Green.

Ins:
Trainor, Brown, Retchscko, Alger, Sonsie (last chance) and Smith (last chance)

Short > not required IMO with Banks + Grlj in the side
HRS > Retchsckoskocksoc
Gray > Brown
Mansell > Alger or anyone else really, Puker etc
Trezise > Sonsie to decide if we make or break
Green > haven't written off Green but but he's lucky to be here and I'd consider Smith as rotating into the mid

Kaleb Smith? He's nowhere near it.

Not a Short fan but he was fantastic in the 2nd half. First time in a long time I've actually seen him influence a game with his touches.

Also not a Trezise fan but I think he will go around again next week. Was good in the last.

Mansell was pretty important I think. Does a lot of grunt work across half forward.

HRS, Gray, and Green I'd have no issue with losing their spot. Green had a good patch last night for a bit but his lack of intensity and pull outs do my head in

Haha all G.

I'd just like to see Smith played mid for a chance. He was a mid as a junior and reportedly decent. We need to look at options there.

Short, Mansell and Green were all solid.
Trezise ok.
HRS good for a half or so.
Gray, hard to tell from 30% TOG.
