Wouldnt think Terry would want too many ""budding senior coaches"" joining the ranks after what has happened at the Blues. ;)

I was actually just thinking today how much our club culture has improved since Miller & Wallace have arrived. The supporters are more supportive of everything. In the past weve been way to busy trying to destroy whats being built, now it seems everyones just trying to add to whats developing.

Any interest here in a ex-Tiger returning as assistant coach? (albeit a classic 80's recruting flop)

Phil Walsh on move
12 September 2006   Herald-Sun
Damian Barrett

RESPECTED assistant coach Phil Walsh is poised to end a long association with Mark Williams at Port Adelaide and head back to Victoria.

His name has been linked with vacancies expected to be created in the Geelong football department.

Walsh yesterday refused to comment on the possibility of leaving Port Adelaide and heading to Geelong, where he was fitness program manager and runner in the 1990s.

It is believed he has a year to run of a contract with Port.

"No comment, there's nothing to say on the matter," Walsh said yesterday.

Walsh played 122 matches for Collingwood, Richmond and Brisbane and has been crucial to Port's success since joining it in 1999.

Agree Ramps. Times have certainly changed  :thumbsup. Quiet confidence at Punt Rd now days while other Vic clubs are in turmoil.

Ok so who had money on Grant Thomas?  I would have picked Pagan or Thompson before Thomas.

Given the decision was made mid-year to give Thomas the shove, some of the Saint board members might had a wager at odds of 150/1  :o.

Cambo back from overseas and back into footy?
« Reply #25 on: September 15, 2006, 01:54:42 AM »
Craig Kelly put Cambo's name up in today's Herald-Sun:

"Wayne Campbell is back from overseas and he'd be good as a footy manager/development type of guy."

Given the decision was made mid-year to give Thomas the shove,
Last week Spida was asked if he'd go to St Kilda (I think it was on WLF). Said he wouldn't while GT was there.
The comment was made that it ruled out him going to St Kilda then. Spida replied, "Who's to say GT will be there next year?"

Methinks Spida knew Thomas was gone before Thomas did.
The conspiracy theorist in me says Aints people have been priming Spida for a return for a while.

Yeah I too wondered if Spida knew something the rest of us didn't.
