@WP

Not suggesting they should be afforded anything.

Based on probability and deduction, I just simply do not buy that three separate women in Melbourne failed to recognise six established AFL players, including some of the biggest stars in the game, and thought they were tradies out on the beers in the early hours of a work day for regular blue collar people.

I am confident something inappropriate happened and have heard about it several days ago in detail, but the above is a part of a larger narrative that will have a bit of truth and a bit of mayo.

Initially they were headed gobbing off in the lobby about "what those AFL players did". Must have figured out at some point they weren't carpenters.

Pay back the discount and move on.

If anything truly bad happened then it should be a criminal case. Civil is just a cash grab. Demeans real victims of SA.
I work in Africa and they were taking the pee out of me for saving Africa.......

The last part of your comments is exactly how I’ve felt

But I’ve been waiting to see what happened as the truth comes out

It’s amazing how paid strippers are being treated as the saints in all of this .. let’s not forget that these angels allowed coke to get snorted off their bodies

Do they deserve any wrongdoing, NO, NOT AT ALL

But let’s not pretend that working a profession that they do, didn’t play a role .. I find it hard to believe that two library clerks would nude themselves up for money and have coke snorted off their bodies and put themselves in the position that these woman did

If boundaries are crossed , it’s unacceptable

But I will wait and see what comes of it before making judgement ..

They knew the players were footballers .. they knew there was a chance for a huge payday

If there is criminal wrongdoing, players should be charged and pay the full penalty for their actions

If ANY of the five are innocent, they should be able to reverse sue the strippers for the amounts they are attempting to sue the players for .. plus legal fees, plus damages

We don’t know what went on as I mentioned previously. For all we know, one or more of the five didn’t assault the women.

It's not sex workers' fault that the male players ...
* went on a binge after only beating the bottom side in a meaningless game right before the finals.
* decided to cheat behind their partners' backs and left their partners publicly embarrassed and humiliated with the paparazzi media scum like the Daily Mail splashing their photos everywhere for clickbait.
* hired the sex workers to the hotel.
* allegedly had possession of the drugs.
* allegedly were the ones doing the snorting.
* got caught.
* destroyed relationships.
* got suspended by their club.

If they had just gone to bed, none of this would be happening. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

And all that's only if everything is legal. If it's proven there was non-payment to the sex workers, then not playing footy will be the least of the players' worries.

From AI Google:

Yes, it is strictly illegal to not pay a sex worker in Victoria. Refusing to pay or falsely promising payment is a serious criminal offense that can lead to severe penalties, including prison time.

Following the full decriminalisation of sex work under the Sex Work Decriminalisation Act 2022, sex services are legally recognized as standard commercial business transactions.

The legal consequences for non-payment are treated with extreme severity under Victorian law:

1. Criminal Charges for Sexual Offenses (Rape)
If a client falsely promises payment or misleads a sex worker to obtain sexual services without intending to pay, the law considers this a violation of consent. In Victoria, individuals who refuse to pay sex workers or lie about sending money transfers face prosecution for rape and sexual assault, resulting in custodial prison sentences.

2. Theft and Fraud
Because sex work is treated the same as any other occupation, withholding payment for services rendered constitutes commercial fraud or theft. As confirmed by Victoria Police, falsely telling a worker they will be paid or misleading them is a reportable criminal offense.

3. Civil Liability
Sex workers have the same legal standing as any other business operator or independent contractor. They have the legal right to pursue clients through the courts for breach of contract to reclaim unpaid debts.

I’m clearly referring to the alleged sexual assault and legal proceedings and media lynching relating to that

As for drug usage and being on the pee etc .. bringing the game into disrepute.. they deserve the suspension

It was quite clear what you were referring to.

It just goes to show you all the extra noise that will be thrown onto the situation.

spot on. I Hope we get an explanation as to if they allowed coke to be put up their nose from their bodies.

I wonder how many times these girls allowed this in the past. They seemed pretty quick to go civil legal as well. :shh

Unless someone was punched or handled in an area that was off limits how can it be any worse than Balta?

Should be play on for at least 4 of the 5 players. They havent even tested positive for cocaine have they?

You can bet the lawyers headhunted those girls as soon as they saw 'AFL player accused' and pushed for civil, taking 50% of whatever they can get etc

As for the coke, not sure we'd even know, as the first strike is confidential, isn't it?

Not confidential if it is an in competition breach

Dopey Dillon confirmed yesterday that none of the 5 have been drug tested due to the police investigation

I was of the understanding it was still confidential and we wouldn't even know if they had been tested or not, irrespective of what Dillon says. Not aware of how a game day breach would be reported vs this. Clubs are still at liberty to make players unavailable if they are likely to test positive and breach anti-doping laws.

Additionally, it would not be considered an in-competition breach.
Governed by Sport Integrity Australia following WADA rules. It targets performance-enhancing drugs and substances banned in-competition (from the end of a game until 11:59 pm the night before a match). A positive test here is an official anti-doping breach

so when is the court case? :lol

Gee i hope the media and even some people on here didn't go early once again. Starting to smell a lot like chopsticks to me.

Apparently he left before the incident happened but again who knows if that's true, as Vic pol are still very busy investigating while sudanese run riot and blow up tobacco shops.

Compare that to how we treated Dusty after that BS chop sticks saga. He was given 2 weeks for that connors rubbish and nothing after the chop sticks. Balta copped 4 for knocking a bloke out who probably deserved it.

all 5 have had their name tarnished and we don't even know why.

No wonder Blakey left. Hope he smashes it at North who seem to have done their DD and found no issues at all with his character :shh media and some pundits on here know better though

If true, his crime was being out late on the beers, which he had permission to do.

Will make some on here look really silly if that’s the case.

I'll continue to wait until the Police investigation is over

Hope that's OK with any who are going early with there being "nothing to see here"

There might very well be plenty to see here

But if this is true , then Blakey has been extremely hard done by and having his name dragged through the mud is appalling

People judging him like some sort of sexual predator when it appears like it isn’t the case

The saddest thing for him is that this will stick with him forever .. what I’ve noticed with you over the years WP, is that for situations that suit , it’s “innocent until proven guilty”

With the Pullman Five (which is now looking like the Pullman Three, you are definitely “guilty until proven innocent”.

Bice and Blakey have had their names tarnished forever.
