Design 1 looks like the traditional one, but i voted for 2 because it has cleaner lines.
No. 1 looks like a mess to me

design 2 is clearly the better jumper.
its just a reverse strip, simple and not messy like design 1.
my question re/ design 1, is ...does it have a black back or yellow back???

i have a feeling both jumpers wont be accepted by teh afl as iirc , they both dont fit the criteria. i though ur alternate strip had to be something totally different foe eg. if ur jumper has a sash , ur alt jumper cannot have a sash, if ur jumper has hoops or stripes then ur alt jumper cannot have hoops or stripes.

but if tehse get through, design 2 for me

I cant vote unless I see what the back of the jumper looks like. I get the feeling however that Jumper 1 will win coz its closer to our original. That being said, I wouldnt discard the losing jumper from the battle. Id use the original jumper for most games, the clash jumper vs Essendon and the losing jumper of the 2 shown today in the Pre Season Cup. Everyone then wins lol ;D

Design 1 will win because its closer to our original strip, but I voted for design 2 afterall it is supposed to be a clash strip.

100 % with you WP  - Design 1 by the length of the field - keeps the tradition of the famous yellow sash.

Just my little biatch but I reckon it should only be paid up members who should be able to vote, and we dont clash with Essenscum anyway  :gotigers

That's the problem for me.  If the back of the jumper is as busy as the front of the jumper, you add a number then it makes it difficult for the sight challenged (me) to see the numbers clearly.  The less clutter, with just a number, is easy to see.  Don't like a yellow strip, but there's not many options to pick from unfortunately.

Design 1 at this stage as the reverse is too dull and unoriginal. The clash jumper should make kids pester their parents to buy them one. I can't see that happening with what is essentially the old WA state of origin guernsey. I can't believe the AFL accepted the first design mind you. It isn't really a clash strip. If you were a bombers fan you'd be spewing that Richmond got to keep the black with yellow sash  :thumbsup.

I hate the WA state of Origin jumper. HAAAAAATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's ugly and unoriginal.

These designs are so dull but at least number 1 is close to the original strip so it'll get my vote.

Surely they could have provided a creative alternative to these conservative options. :P

The back is the same as the front - mainly black, yellow sash with the yellow on the sides showing a few inches on either side with the AFG logo and player numbers.

Design 2 is the old WA state jumper isn't it?

As for the AFL - I think they have seen both  ;)

Sorry WP. I should have rephrased it better. I will be going for design 1 because design 2 (WA s.o.o. jumper) is dull and unoriginal.

Personally I think the club tried to appease the traditionalists too much and missed a golden opportunity. The simplicity of the designs is good but as Magic said there's hardly any creativity in either design. These clash strips are mainly for those under 20 who will buy and wear them.

As for the AFL - I think they have seen both  ;)

That would make sense. The AFL are thick as two planks (Andy D and AA lol). The RFC have pulled a swifty basically keeping the traditional strip intact :clapping.

Help decide new Tiger guernsey
1:03:01 PM Thu 13 July, 2006
richmondfc.com.au

Richmond members and supporters have the opportunity to vote on-line for a new Tiger clash strip.

There are two options, which have been designed at the request of the AFL to avoid a clash when the Tigers meet Essendon.

The Club considered some more radical designs, but in the end opted to preserve Richmond’s heritage with respect to the colors and sash.

Design 1 is very similar to the traditional Tiger guernsey design, but there’s a lot more yellow incorporated. There are yellow side panels, a yellow collar, yellow around the sleeves, as well as a wider yellow sash.

Design 2 is a reverse of the normal jumper, with a black sash on a yellow background. It’s reminiscent of the old Western Australian State guernsey.
