Bulldogs game - Another milestone
« on: July 23, 2006, 10:11:54 PM »
Listening to the footy this afternoon, the boys on 3AW mentioned that Chris Grant will break the club games record for the Bulldogs in 2 weeks time against Richmond.

We always run into these matches!!!

Puts more importance on a win this week against the Saints.

I'm confident we can win over the Saints, in the past we have been thrashed by them, but I was actually proud of them that we only lost by 11 points(IIRC) the last time we met. Shows we are actually learning from our mistakes, despite the minor hiccups along the way.

The Bulldogs will be a hard team to beat, but they have alot of injuries and they are forced to play inexperienced kids. I have a feeling this will be our "crunch" game (I don't think we have used it yet)
Terry, Browny and Patrick would love a win over them, and the shallacking they gave us in Round 1 would fire up the boys, they wouldn't want to be embarrassed like that again. My heart says we will win, but my head says that we will lose, but not by much. And I'll be there cheering my boys on :gotigers

It does feel like we always cop more than our share of these milestone games although we won in Gas' 200 milestone a few weeks ago. A bit like how debutants always seem to star against us like Grundy did  :scream. Who was the Eagles' one game wonder who kicked 3 goals in a quarter last year? Edwards?

Kosi might play this week against us (Herald-Sun)

In the Herald-Sun, Grant Thomas says he wants Kosi to make his comeback this week.

I think Kosi would be stupid to do so so soon after the knocks he's copped to the head but I wouldn't be surprised if Thomas and other clubs see us as mentally fragile/dumb just as our record goes with milestones and debutants. Kosi will probably come out and kick a bag  :-\.

Or ends up more injured and really shouldn't have played at all.

If Staff can get off that stupid report then the doggies game this week will be his 200th. 130 with the Swans and 70 with us. Dueling milestones lol.
