The AFL will ask one of its key constituents – the fans – to have their say on the new laws and interpretations introduced for the 2006 season.

A survey will be published on afl.com.au on Tuesday night, giving supporters the chance to assess the new rules, as well as suggest any changes for future seasons.

* 1. Remove requirement for players to wait for the flag to be waved before bringing the ball back in after a behind?

Options:  Worked really well
      Worked well
      Worked a little bit
      Didn't work at all

* 2. Allow shot at goal to be taken from directly in front if a free kick was paid or mark taken in the goal square?

* 3. Automatic start of time-on from the time the umpire crosses his arms to when the ball is bounced or thrown up?

* 4. Limit time for players to line-up for set shots on goal (play on after 30 seconds)

* 5. Reduced tolerance for holding players up after mark or free kick (50m penalty)

* 6. Quicker boundary throw-ins

* 7. Less time taken to award 50m penalty

*  8. Stricter interpretation for deliberate kick out of bounds

*  9. Stricter policing of holding and blocking in marking contests

* 10. Focus on infringements by taggers

Then there's a box to type in your response for Q11:

* 11. What rule changes would you like the Laws of the Game Committee to consider?
