Mal Michael?
« on: August 03, 2006, 10:29:42 PM »
Another Lion leaves the Den according to TFS. Michael will either retire or get traded to a Melbourne club next year as he wants to return to Melbourne.

Any interest here if he decides to go on?

You're probably right Julz but just wondering if he wanted to continue and went into the PSD we could get a "cheap" key defender to fill in while we draft some young KPPs.

The one thing that is showing up with no Gaspar and Chubba out there for us is our lack of big body experienced players.

I am all for playing the kids but an experienced old head with a solid body wouldn't go a stray for the Tigers - remember the success we had with Mark Grham loast year and right at this moment I reckon you could say we could do with him now.

I would seriously look at Michael - even though it goes outside my normal criteria of no trades for blokes over 24-25.

If you could get him cheap and we get say 2 years out of him while the likes of Thursfiled comes back from his knee reco and develops then I'd say let's have alook at it

I'd take him in a heartbeat but i expect he'll hang up the boots to pusue his business interests rather than join another club.
