Hope you can make sense of it - just typing live.

Are we still in the hunt?  Hopefully.  Had a terrible month – but in the next 3 weeks we are a chance and we give ourselves a chance if we can get over the line in a couple of them.  A few of our recent games didn’t go our way, but with Geelong, we’re up against it.

Would Joel take a couple of weeks out like Simpson?  From an individual perspective want to play 22 games.  You want to perform and get B&F votes.  Also don’t want to lose your position on the list.

Re how the possession game is being played – is it the way he is told to play or the way the game has developed? Do have to earn every possession.  Has changed this year where the game has come to not giving the ball back.  Let’s hold onto the ball – time in possession can win you a game.

Ugly footy?  Only if the skills aren’t on, because the ball is being moved around – like soccer.  He can see the AFL changing the rules if the ball goes backwards, the mark not being rewarded.

Re playing midfield – talking to Patty tonight and said he used to be a wingman and centreman and been a great transition from the midfield to the backline.  Has gone a couple times into the midfield but not for long.

Patty and Joel – Seem to be able to team up and work the ball out well.  We’re not waxing (as he’s told his team mates lol).  He just thinks everyone notices it when he gives to Patty, but he does give to Rainsey and Kellaway as well.

Goal kicking practice – all week – Patty done a fair bit 

Patty’s best possie in the forward line but played some of his best footy in the backline.  Good to show that versatility.  Fitness good, tall, jump and long arms lol.

More to come if my fingers don't drop off lol

JON – a big loss?  Got tackled, come down and broken collarbone.  No. 8 pick – might have been able to play 4 or 5 games the rest of the season, but not to be – in Vimy Hospital.

Gasper – thinks he will go on next year.  Had cartilage op last week, so will miss the rest of the year.

Andy surfing – didn’t get into trouble with the players, but not sure how the club reacted.  The club advocates getting away and doing other things.  Just an unfortunate accident.

How would our leadership group react to the Collingwood boys in Tarrant and Johnston – doesn’t know what’s happened.  Before you get angry and give fines, have to know full details.

If there was a curfew rule (which we don’t) – probably in trouble.  We just go by commonsense rule of not going out and getting drunk and playing up.  Make up sessions at 6.00am are our way of penalising a player lol.  A leadership group member has to be there and polices the training of that individual.

Testimonials – depending on how long they’ve played do they deserve them – Harvey, Hird, Voss great examples of who deserves one.  At the end of a career, maybe a long service leave entitlement might be a goer.

Another thing re the possession game and Richo, Schwarz asked the question about Richo at CHF when he’s firing, you kick it to him in a 50/50, you’d back him just about every time.  He hasn’t had that ball coming into half fwd hardly all season.

Joel – You would certainly back Richo one on one most of the time.  But if he’s doing that on the wing, we haven’t got two of him.  Haven’t got one on the wing and one 30 metres or so out who can kick a goal.  So they have to work the ball up, which frustrates the hell out of Richo and the other forwards, but that’s the way the game’s evolved.

Is he saying Richo can't pass to Sarge or that Sarge can't take a contested mark?  ???

What about Simmo, Staff or Patto when they are resting deep up forward?

Not sure what he was trying to say.  I know Richo runs around everywhere trying to create options (God luv him, he tries his guts out lol), but if he isn't an option, we've got plenty of others who they can focus on, ie Schultz.  Something to work out over summer because an unhappy Richo means team mates get abused lol

Maybe he's saying we're still too Richo conscious  :P
