perception is a funny thing and many times players are perceived to be what they are not.

wanna tip my hat to krak, yes krak ha ha funny funny

why , because on sat night, this light weight once again put his body on the line 4 the team and to win teh contested ball.

we all know he will never be a 30 possession game player but he is a player who many ppl perceive as lazy and soft.

well he has shown time and time again that he isnt lazy and is not soft and it would be nice to see every tiger player put their bodies on the line as krak does.

krak is still very young, and will soon be a 100 game player which means that in teh next 3-4 yrs we will see a more consistant player and a very damaging player.

persistance will pay off, the rfc will reap the rewards 4 all the patience needed to develop this kid.

i have a real good feeling that his games b/w 100 and 200 are ging to be "special"

just my opinion, i know many of u wont agree

while i agree with most peoples perceptions in regards to krak being lazy and soft i have also held a long term view that he will come good at some point hence why i have never openly bagged krak.

While he has downsides, his upsides like his tackling, awareness are second to none and his superquick footybrain is one thing that cannot be taught, you either have it or you dont.

Along with Tambling, will be an ace in the pack when things are up and running.

gee i can already sense the baggers itching to scathe this topic...  ;D

X I thought there were several other players going in hard for the ball on Saturday night. Foley (several times) Richo Howat and Chaffey. I couldn't fault the endeavour and like Krak I want them to do it every game.

I reckon i could have got a few kicks and laid some almighty tackles against that opposition the other day.
Wouldn't get carried away with anyone's performance - although was very pleased with Cam Howat's second outing.

We all know what Krak is capable of...we just wish we'd see it more often.
My parents bought me a Richmond jumper and enrolled me in a junior footy clinic in 1981...look at me now.

Although I like Weaver's logic on BF, that instead of going after another HF in Aker, keep on trying (and we've had a few picks recently) in bolstering our midfield, to enable HFs like Krak etc to get more of it.  Silly getting another HF if we've got no-one to deliver it.  With our delivery into the forward line "in the past", it's no wonder Krak is put under pressure for not getting the ball much.  Just his body language sometimes leaves a lot to be desired and gives the impression he's not having a go.  Great to see him tackle hard the other night, but I'd like to see more chasing and stuff as well. We're getting better but need a few more hard nuts with great delivery skills.  Thought Cam's kicking was great the other night and Rainsey spots up well.

Won't be long hopefully  :pray

Sorry X wasn't picking on anything you said. The perception of Krak would come from his inconsistency and he is not alone there. As I said I want all the players to hard for the ball all the time not just when we are winning by 50 points.

true, i know what u mean. imo i feel krak has been largely inconsistant cos he has lacks confidence at at times, sems very shy in nature, but now that he has nearly 100 games exp, i feel his confidence and self belief will sky rocket, which inturn will make him more consistant..............fingers crossed anyway

Sadly X, the facts are that Krak is lazy. He isnt soft but lasy he certainly is.

He did however play a good game on Saturday night and showed some very impressive skills at certain times. I just think that at his point in time he still has trade value and if a decent trade come along he will be gone.

Krak may end up playing his best footy at another club, but so be it.

Inconsistent would be the word for Krak; definitely not soft. Fantastic first quarter with every one of his 6 possies being influential and he finished off with 2 goals as well (should have been 3). Didn't notice him much after that.

We have to get players that can put that sort of effort in when we are down by 4 or six goals and dragged the side back. Love to see Krak get 6 possessions and two goals in say a third quarter when we are down by 25 points. That is when he will start to see his best work. And again there are several others in the 75 to 150 game bracket who need to become these sort of players.

That's true Gracie. When we are down most of the 22 seem to have a shocker as those three 100 point hidings showed. Browny pre-broken leg could do it but no one else has stepped up. One from left field a bit but Petts is one I think could if next year he can step up another level again.

Funny the different perspectives you get depending on where you sit or where you watch the game, live or on tellie. They all show different aspects of the game and players.
Where our seats are at the G on the wing/half forward right on the fence you can see clearly the look in some players eyes. Petts is a pretty angry footballer and never gives up trying but when we are down Krak has that look where he would rather be anywhere else but out there. I know that is they way he is normally but more so when we are down.
Raines is just totally focused, I don't reckon he would notice if the southern stand collapsed if the game was still going.
