Well its either Pick 7 or Pick 8 now

Our draft pick is 99% sorted now. Its either pick 7 or pick 8. No amount of ladder predicting manipulation from me can do anything. I dont think theres any difference between those 2 picks. So we may as well go out and win the last 2 games and finish on a really positive note.

We'll probably finish 9th and cop crap from idiotic opposition supporters for it even though it's been 6 years since we last did it. Unlike other years when we have finished ninth it's about right. We're much better than the sides below us and nowhere good enough yet for those above except the Pies who are crap but got a soft draw  ::). We are 2-9 against the top 8 and 8-1 against the bottom eight. We have the same number of wins as last year but we've done it with our youngsters stepping up in 2006 which means we're improving as a list.

We still need to be active at the trade table this year and try to get more early picks than just one in each round.

Fully agree, ninth in the past was 9th going backwards with players who werent up to it, this 9th is with a group of young guys with big futures. Tuck, Krak and afew other will probably get put up...but I doubt well pinch an early pick.

At the moment we are in Matthew Leuenbeger, Clinton Benjamin, Joel Selwood territory unless of course one of the early guys drops down.

Wallace would drool over Benjamin. How tall is he now? 192cm who can run 100m in under 11 secs?

Probably Jack Riewoldt would be another around the pick 5-10 mark. The draft camp results will move these kids up and down the draft order.

Although alot of people would be dissapointed I for one would be very excited to get Benjamin in a tiger jumper. His speed would give us along with JON and all the other speedsters THE quickest side in the comp in a few years.

I can see it now... "Catch Us If You Can"  :shh

last i heard Benjamin was 189cm, if he gets to 192cm then he gets to kpp status, and with his pace, I would have no hesitation in taking him- he showed quite a bit of run of a wing during the championships.

Joel Selwood?  Is he related to Troy (Lions) & Adam (West Coast) Selwood?

Selwood would be a good pickup for us. There's also another younger Selwood. Could end up having four brothers playing for four different clubs.

Welcome to OER BHCC  :)

If Joel Selwood is as good as his older brothers then it would be a good pick up. It would be handy though if we can get a quality KPP.

Agree Limbach. The general rule is go for a young talented CHF and if he doesn't make it there then try him as a key backman who can push forward.

The Cats drew with the Dees (Otto could have won them the game but missed  ;) ) so we'll move up to ninth if we win tonight.
