2006 KEY DATES, DRAFT AND EXCHANGE PERIODS

The AFL wishes to advise the following key dates for various stages of the player exchange and draft process:

Exchange Period (Trade week)
Monday October 9 to to 2pm Friday October 13, 2006

2pm Tuesday October 31, 2006. Maximum of 35 players, Rookie Promotions, Father/Son selections, Retained (second-year) Rookies

For future reference this is what we have come up with in terms of who is contracted to when. If anyone has any corrections to this list post it in this thread and I or WP will update it .

He's arrived at Punt Rd on the cheap. The club can always pay him out after a year if he fails like we did with Rodan last year. If Kingsley surprises us all and does well then he won't cost us much in 2008 either.

We should be nore worried in getting Tambo to sign another 4 year deal.

And Richmond's Shane Tuck, who is cousin of Ablett Jr and Nathan, also split with manager Michael Baker last year.

It's understood Tuck, who is under contract with Richmond until the end of next season, came to a financial agreement with Baker when the Tiger midfielder ended their agreement.
