Tigers changing numbers?
« on: September 06, 2006, 05:38:00 PM »
With Chaff and Staff retiring there's a few lower numbers up for grabs - #6, #10 and Cambo's rested #9. Could be another after delistings.

Anyone think any of our young guys will change and move to a smaller number? Who deserves to wear the number 9?

There is a rumour on Big Footy that it has been reported on a Perth radio station that Staff has been talked into playing one more year.

Thats all thats been reported at this stage.

On BF, Limbach_19 said Foley is keeping 41 (although I like WP's idea of giving him 9) and Blingers is keeping St Francis' number  :clapping.

8 and 18 are now also free lol. 8 has been a bit of dud number in recent times when you think of the greats who have worn it over the years. I bet Petts is glad he switched to 15.

Maybe Foley is a Scott Turner fan - a bit of mongrel so he wants to keep 41. Still think he should wear 9

Numbers 6 & 10 are free now as well

Give him 8

It will remind me of the pick in the draft that we lost.   :banghead

Just kidding guys. Though I don't like the trade much, I will give him a go until he proves himself one way or the other.

I reckon Polak may get 6 or 10 - with my preference being 10

And our first round draft pick number 8 or 9.

Although I still reckon Nathan Foley should wear number 9

And I reckon if Nathan Foley doesn't want No. 9 then perhaps we give it to young Matty White :thumbsup

I think 6 would be appropriate for Matty White, he looks a similar player to Chaffey, except quicker.
