It's an absolute disgrace, I can't believe that has happened, totally unprofessional.

I can beleive it happened ::)

what do you mean ?

That Kane is not the sharpest tool in the shed ? or that the club is unorganised?

In defence of Kane - I don't really think he would have said it if he didn't believe the kids knew.

If that's the case then why would you tell the Captain before the players concerned - that's not the right way to do it IMHO

I agree with RT - it's been handled terribly - the finger pointing is making it even worse.

Another Punt Rd Fiasco. And the club has no one else to blame but themselves.

Ramps my greek friend. I once again totally agree with you

Quite possibly a bit of both, but was tending the comment more towards the organisation at the time of writting.

I'm not defending what happened or that Sugar didn't speak out of line, but I'm finding it difficult to believe the players weren't aware. They all had interviews with Wallace before they broke up for annual leave and would have been told where they stood and the likelihood of their chances at being at Punt Rd next year. No player could expect himself to be safe after 3-4 years at the club playing at Coburg and with younger teammates bypassing them into the senior side.

They might have had an inkling, but after speaking to Rodan pretty much a few minutes after it, he didn't know what was going on.
Said he was in the middle of negotiations with the club.
Anyway, it's done now and nothing they can do to change things - just hope they give them an apology.

Any whispers out of Punt Road on who else has been delisted if any? They've only got until Tuesday week and most other clubs have finalised their delistings.

Deadline is 2pm tomorrow and still no news. We only need to reduce our list down to 35 so will we hear any further announcements tomorrow?

We started with 39 on our senior/veteran lists so no Staff, Chaff, Chubba, Rodan and Roach takes it down to 34. Promoting Howat would then take it back up to 35.

Who knows?

But probably not - maybe that's a good thing give a couple of those on the fringe 3 weeks to show they deserve to be there - those that don't well there's always list lodgement number 2

Chubb, Rodan, Limbach, Roach, Humm, Staff and Chaff gone.

Howat retained as rookie...

Full article:

http://richmondfc.com.au/default.asp?pg=news&spg=display&articleid=305201

Snippet from the article:

The acquisition of one player (Graham Polak) in the recent trade period, two players (Matthew Richardson and Darren Gaspar) being on the veteran list; along with the fact the Club went one short on its senior playing list in 2006, gives the Tigers six places to fill on its ’07 primary list via the upcoming drafts.

Moore and Jacko are very lucky.

The rumour doing the rounds is Limbach will be redrafted by us as a rookie if he isn't picked up by another club.

I'm surprised both Gas and Richo are now on the veterans' list. It limits the number of rookies we can have to 4. With Howat and Graham already on our rookie list, we'll only be picking up two new rookies at the most. If Limbach is rookied then that means just one newbie  :-\.

Polak's salary has obviously pushed us above the 92.5% minimum of the salary cap to allow us to put both Gas and Richo on the veterans list and outside the seniors list.
