Yeah or Neah - 32. Greg Tivendale
« on: September 11, 2006, 05:04:03 AM »
Next up is much-maligned Tivs who is out of contract.

Tivs was another of only 6 Tigers to play all 22 games in 2006. Averaged 18 disposals (6th best Tiger, 2nd best return in his career), 5.6 marks and kicked 12.12. He played a more inside-ish role in the midfield this year and was second in tackles one behind Tuck and one ahead of Foley with 71. According to the AFL Record, Tivs was also #1 Tiger for inside 50's (4.8 per game) and second in clearances behind Tuck. His disposal efficiency was 76.8%.

According to the AFL Record, Tivs was also #1 Tiger for inside 50's (4.8 per game) and

and nearly every inside 50 missed its target by a mile. so why are not those missed targets inside 50 considered clangers just because they are an inside 50 kick. if he went inside 50 5 times a game for us, and hit a target 4 out of 5 times, even 3 out of 5 times, u would consider him, but he A./ always misses a target inside 50 or B/ goes for teh wrong inside 50 option

again NAYU

I would have thought that if Tiv's average of hitting a target is approx 75% then correct me if i am wrong, but i that would in turn tell me that approx 75% of his inside 50's would have hit targets also.

Tiv is 50-50 for mine, he season declined towards the end (over the second half, compared to his first half) so i doubt there will be much interest. To trade him, it would have to be a win for us (something decent) otherwise sign him up on a performance based contract.

Still can be of some value, especially as the team improves so will Tiv.

Tivvas had a pretty good career for the Tigers playing 160 odd games after coming off the rookie list.
I really thought he'd be one to thrive under the style of TW but he hasn't.

He's gone backwards if anything.

Thanks Tivva.

Nah from me.

Trade bait for me.

If we can get anything above a round 4 pick would be good or a younger taller back man might just help out. If we cant get a trade then he probably will stay.  :-[

LOL

See if there's interest out there trade-wise and if not then put him on a performance based contract. He seems play at his best when he's in his last year of his contract.

Good ridance.
A career loser who should of been sacked years ago.
If he was employed at any rank and file company, he would be cleaning toilets
and picking up cigarette buts!
Maybe the social club could employ him!
