We're coming up to 2 years to the day that Wallace took up his 5-year role. So how do you rate his reign so far. Not just overall but specific things as well like matchday coaching, etc....?

21 wins from 44.  Nice start to the 5 year plan.  Scrapes a pass as a team, but good performance as a coach.

Improved from the 18 wins we had in the previous 3 seasons under Spud.

Doing a good job, and like his approach to the media.

as i said , i gave 7/10. its imo a fair assessment. u cant give tery more than 7/10 yet. if we made the 8 this yr i would have given him an 8/10. if we made the 8 and won a final , possibly a 9/10.
but i never said he wasnt trying new things, just think he made some big mistakes in the yr with matchups and positioning and team selection. one of the big reasons why we lost v the hawks wasnt just that the players played bad, but also cos terry was out coached by a mile and the buck stops with him, if the players went in complaicent, then the coach didnt obv prepare them properly

X where you see mistakes with matchups etc I see TW trying different things. Over the last two years not much has been expected of us and this has given TW the opportunity to try different styles and players in different roles. I would much rather a coach that is making errors in the situation we are in now than one not making any mistakes.

When TW took over we were a mess. I reckon we are further advanced than even he thought we would be and he has been proven right on more than a few occasions. Prime example is his belief in Patto. Not many of us earlier in the year could see the sense that Patto deserved his spot but he is consistently improving and his spot in the side is rarely questioned now.

TW and the board agreed to a plan and given I think we are in front of that plan TW would get a 10/10 from me on this basis. However the bar is being set higher all the time and what is acceptable right now won't be in 12 months time.

He was headed for a 8/10 from me until this Chubba saga.

And now he drops back to 7.25/10. ;D

And just make it clear he hasn't lost .75 of a point for the actual decision - I accept it.

He made a tough decision and that's what it's all about. But... he lost the .75 for the way it was handled - for a sauvy media operator and an area we really have improved since Tezza's been there this was handled poorly - leaks to the likes of Rohan Connolly for goodness sake :banghead :banghead and then the "we haven't made any decisions about our list" but then a week laster "I spoke to him a few weeks ago"  :chuck

a)    If he trades Tuck and Krak together then hes up to an 8 1/2

b)    If he trades Tuck and Krak together and he sacks Rodan he gets  9

c)    If he trades Tuck and Krak Individually he gets 6

d)    If he trades Tuck and Krak individually and he sacks Rodan he gets 8

e)    If he does (a) and nails Tivendale he gets 9

f)     If he does (b) and nails Tivendale he gets 9.5

g)    If he does  (f) and nails Hall he gets  10

Does anyone reckon I should work in the public service? ;D

He's turned over a terrible list into something with "potential" - 9.5/10

Not gonna rate him for the last couple of years on his performance because he is building a totaly new team.  The next two years is what it's all about, to see whether what he's put in place comes to fruition.

He will be judged then accordingly - hopefully positively.

I'd give Tezza 7.9 out of 10.

He's debuted 12 young players in his first 2 years and has begun the process of cleaning out and rebuilding our list. He's also overseen the rise of Pettifer, Raines, Tuck, Foley and is getting the best out of even older blokes like Joel and Richo. They seemed more focussed under his coaching. Hard at this stage to judge his recruiting as they are still mostly teenages but Simmonds and Paddy are gems. This trade/draft period will be the test for Terry. Make the tough decisions and recruit well in the next couple of months and he will have set up our list for the future nicely.

Results wise 21 wins from 44 games is good return from a young list but only 4 wins from 23 games against top 8 opponents and a number of giant spankings in there too shows we are still closer to the bottom 4 sides than the top 4.

Match-day Plough has usually done very well and outcoached and outsmarted his direct opposite in the box with the Adelaide game his tactical masterpiece. There was though a period b/w the Hawks and Saints games this year where he went for the wrong match-ups a couple of times. As Gracie says he might have been testing out blokes but having Razor instead of Polo on Franklin was a big boo-boo as was having Joel on Russell Robertson. Playing slow chip-chip possession tempo footy instead of playing direct at the short SCG was also a mistake.

I think he has done a fantastic job so far in so many areas of the club.

His ability to communicate to the media and to supporters is light years ahead of anything we have experienced at the club for many many years.

His communication creates confidence within the supporter ranks, which inturn creates a greater stability in the environment of the club thus people can get on with there jobs in a greater stress free environment.

As far as the playing group is concerned this area is obviously still a work in progress, experience and development of younger players is a continuous process and is something that only time can accomodate. Wallace wouldn't have been particularly pleased with the levels of skill being displayed by the side on numerous occasions throughout the year and has therfore acted in this area by not extending wheadon's contract.

Right now is a very critical period in the tenure and the success of what Terry wants to achieve during his 5 year plan. He needs to off load the final peices of the deadwood so that he has the actual senior players that are going to help carry forward his plans over the next 3 years and for that matter the juniors that are going to play games and grow into the nucleus of a successful side. Decisions such as Kellaway's has to be made now along with any other deadwood seniors and juniors that just aren't going to cut it. Gaspar at the moment is a necessity  in that Thursfeilds injury stopped his growth and necessary experience in taking over Gasper mantle. Gasper will be utalised in helping to teach and develop our young backs.

On overall performance to date I'd give him an 8/10

On feild performance i'd give him a 7/10

Off feild performance I'd give him a 9/10

....... Playing slow chip-chip possession tempo footy instead of playing direct at the short SCG was also a mistake.

I was there at that game and all they were doing was chipping around the wings. The SCG is nearly a circle so the wings are deep and the swans cover the middle forcing you out that way. I think TW should drag out some videos of the Swans when Healy and Williams were playing for them. Hard running through the centre and long kicks to Capper one out.

Our problem being that we tried the running game against the Swans earlier in the year and got flogged. We need to build confidence in our running game. Come on down JON and Casserley
