Burning MP3's HELP
« on: September 16, 2006, 09:17:03 AM »
I need some help burning MP3's.

I am trying to burn a disc of music that i can play through my DVD player.

The DVD player supports MP3, but each time i burn a MP3 cd or dvd it wont work on the DVD player.

Does anyone have any info on this? I have tried multi-session and non multi-session but it still wont work.

I am getting VERY frustrated.

Any help is appreciated.

I've heard that some players don't like cd-rw discs, if that's of any help.

Does this help Bully?

For audio projects, pick CD-Rs. CD-Rs are the best way for you to create audio CDs, the format recognized by CD and DVD players. If you want to pack more music on a disc, convert your audio files to MP3 before burning them to a CD-R. But note that they're stored as data files, not as music per se. That means the player you're using needs to have a built-in MP3 decoder, as many DVD players and portable CD players do--but not car stereo and living-room CD players.

Burning music to a DVD is more complicated. Most DVD players cannot recognize MP3 files stored on a DVD, even though they can recognize MP3 files stored on a CD. And do-it-yourself DVD-Audio isn't available in mainstream burning tools.

The discs that i burnt actually worked. It was just my cheap arse DVD player that i have, it would read the disc properly.

Had to eject and load the disc about 6-7 times and it worked  :-[
