Well there was some surprises and some real shockers this year.  Special mention to Tanya Buckley who actually looked great although she does like to show her cleavage.  Lots of black, white and a lot of Swans wives/partners/girlfriends wore red.  Anyone wearing another colour was a standout.  I think the best dress would have to be Kaite Williams (Jason Gram) who wore a gorgeous bluey/green number.  A lot wearing black really could have done with some bling to go from good to great. Hated Rachel McLeod wearing "23" on her back - very tack and her back is too thin.  Cassie Lane (Didak's date) would have to rate as one of the worst - black lace on white and she looked very plastic.  Tania Hird always looks lovely but it would be nice to see her wearing more colour.  Is Lisa Lloyd pregnant - not one of her best.  Jo Silvagni wrecked her dress with that red lacy frills at the bottom.  Lids girlfriend Katie and Amber Petty looked like the 80's bridesmaids from hell.  Carla McGuire was another big improvement from past years - great colour on her.  Donna Voss was another improver.  Didn't like the lacy, underwear top that Leanne Tucker (Mark McVeigh) wore but the skirt part of the dress was nice.  Some dresses would have been better if they had been full length.  Steph McIntosh - too pale a colour for her.  Dermie's date looks very young.  Mariangelo (D. Wells) - not bad, very low cut back - wonder if she shows crack when she sits down.  Ryan O'Keefe's date Tara looked great in a hot pink number.  Melane Cousins, sister to Ben and girlfriend to Daniel Kerr, looked like a french maid gone wrong.  A couple looked like they had stolen the chequered flag from the Grand Prix and some looked like they were wearing scarves.  Adam Goodes girl Mara looked very nice in red.  Sam (Ben Cousins) had a lovely dress on but the colour didn't suit her.  Rebecca Twigley was another winner, looking very demure in her off white/cream dress.  Luke Hodge's girl Lauren looked like she'd been in Tanya Buckley's closet.  Rachel Treadre must have spent all evening making sure her boobs hadn't fallen out of her dress.    Sports writer Fiona Carmody wore white with a deep cowl neckline which made her boobs look lopsided.  Auburney (Sam Fisher) was another stand-out in a blue, grecian number.  Pat Bowden's Alice wore a nice dress which would have been better longer but had great halter neck straps.  Chris Connelly's wife looked very nice in a white beaded number.  Jim Stynes wife looked too casual.  KB's daughter looked very grown-up.  Jason McCartney's date Prue was another shocker.  And finally Merinda Jackson (Richo) - getting better every year, great rusty redish colour - only comment was from the picture it looked like she need some nipple tape.

haha julz.

After 5 minutes of the brownlow coverage I started thinking that this was possibly the most boring television event ever. Reading out umpires votes FFS. The fact that the most interesting part is perving on a whole heap of bogan footy tarts who have nothing to say and zero talent is pretty sad.

Oh I completely agree.  I wait till the pics come out on Gettys Images or HUN and then do my critique.

Merinda looks very nice and slim but also cold.  Wonder if Richo got drunk again this year and went bowling like he did last year.

I would have liked this dress to be longer, otherwise it's nice.  I especially love the straps.

I liked how McLeod's(sp?) girlfriend had his number on her back, but that browny colour dress was disgusting  :chuck
