Best mark
« on: May 10, 2004, 04:01:06 PM »
Sampi's mark was amazing in the way his natural vertical jump took him to one of the Melbourne players shoulders then the ride took him above the pack. I still don't think it was the best mark of all time as IMO the most spectacular marks are those taken up high but with out-stretched hands and in the fingertips. So I still reckon Moorcroft's was the best mark I've seen. The late Trevor Barker fitted into the category as well for the Saints. Disco would get my best Tiger mark.

What does everyone else reckon?

Showing my age I suppose but it was Jezza's mark for mine. Perhaps it is thw B&W film but there is just something special about that mark

Although, I love Roach's - Jezza's stands out to me because he climbed over only one person. Where Disco's, Sampi's, Smith's were over larger packs.

I like Royce's in the GF and Roachy's

And one that's not mentioned much - Brett Allison when he almost stood on the blokes head

I voted for Other - Warwick Capper - when he sat on the full back and wrapped his legs around his head.........that was a great mark.

Reminded me of a "Debbie Does" film........ ;D
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

LMFAOOOOO Harry, if it was anything like the film it must have been a great mark.

Moorcroft for mine. Got up there and then nearly did a backflip. Awesome.
