has terry gotten over the doggies
« on: September 27, 2006, 09:29:06 AM »
i think terry is a gr8 coach.  however at times i get sick and tired of him always reffering to the doggies as examples in many convos and articles.
ok west and brad johnson are gr8 players, but its about time terry stopped pumping up these blokes and worshipping them and holding teh doggies in high regard.
terry ur meant to be a tiger now, forget the dogs, ok, respect them if u wish, but rather focusing on how great these guys were too you, and how great u think they are, focus more on our team and developing our kids into champions

At least he doesn't wear his old team's socks like Spud did.

He probably does it subconsciously. He does talk about other teams as well (Sydney for instance and their tempo footy) but he would know these older dogs back to front so at least you know his comments come from some knowledgable base. I'd rather read Plough's stuff than the cringeworthy cliches of a certain previous coach  :thumbsup.

I've noticed that too X.
Yeah and at least he didn't go and speak at West and Smiths 300th, ala a former certain coach of ours.

Aren't you allowed to say his name on here anymore MT??

I didn't want to anyone here to relapse  :wallywink.

After seeing Cogs' handball attempt on the Sunday footy show when he missed the board completely, Spud's sheer presence brings a aura of dudness to any Tiger :lol.

Be pretty petty to bag the players he's coached and played well for him.
I'd have West and Johnson any day at the Tiges and probably Terry wished they were there as well.

He can probably take a lot of credit for their development, so why shouldn't he be proud of them.
Also, probably the role models he wants the Tiges to emulate

I have no problem with him because he's delivering the goods at Richmond.  If he was a dud like Frawley, I'd say eff off back to your old club.

Terry is doing fine - i got no problem  :thumbsup

Terry was disappointed for West and sent him a text message after Brownlow.
Only known 3 guys who have been multiple B&F winners – Matthews, Dempsey and West – said to him Matthews never had a Brownlow and never hurt his reputation and history will record him as a very, very great player.

I saw that, that was absolutely shocking! He injured his knee and not his arm, right?

The difference between Frawley and Wallace is that wallace respects the players at the dogs he doesn't love the club but Frawley loved the Club (Saints) whilst trying to be our coach.
