Spud is the new assistant coach at Hawthorn replacing Todd Viney :rollin. Just announced on Ch 10 news.

Also you might find the Bombers without Peverill and Soloman after tomorrow. Bound for Pre Season Draft ! :o

DANNY Frawley's return to football is likely to be with his former club St Kilda -- and not Hawthorn -- if he decides to step back into the fold.

Frawley is understood to have spoken to the Saints about a position in the football department, possibly as part of the new coaching panel.

It had been reported that Frawley was being chased by the Hawks to work with senior coach Alastair Clarkson in a coach-mentoring role.

The Hawks did speak with the former Richmond coach, but only about a role in assisting the club's young defensive group.

While there will be a beefed-up coaching panel and football department at Hawthorn, there is no guarantee the mentor role will be filled.

Geelong is also believed to have sounded out Frawley as part of its search for an experienced figure to come into its football operations set-up.
