Mike Sheahan's Top 50
07 October 2006 Herald-Sun
Mike Sheahan
As usual, there are 15 to 20 players unlucky to miss. At least one at every club.
Kane Johnson and Brady Rawlings are best-and-fairest winners, but I have a strong leaning to players who win games rather than those employed to stop the opposition winning.
There are others who served notice they are going to be in contention for a long time. St Kilda's Brendon Goddard, who is justifying his selection at No.1 in the 2002 national draft, Collingwood's Dane Swan and Heath Shaw, Brent Stanton at Essendon, Brad Sewell at Hawthorn,
Andrew Raines at Richmond, Port Adelaide's Danyle Pearce, and more.
