Tigers in China

The AFL season might have ended weeks ago, but a group of Richmond players have found themselves back in the thick of the action in China.
The Herald Sun reports Five of the club's current and former players made a lightning trip to Shanghai at the weekend to lend their support to the city's only AFL club, the Shanghai Tigers, in a grudge match against arch rivals Beijing.
The recently retired Greg Stafford and Mark Chaffey joined Patrick Bowden and Ray Hall as well as former Richmond, Essendon and Hawthorn player Barry Young to cheer the Tigers to a 32-point win.
Shanghai Tigers co-founder and die-hard Richmond supporter Ross McGregor organised the visit to help drum up support for the fledgling club, who want to teach local Chinese the art of taking a mark and handballing.
