A few names left out in Burgan's list compared to the phantom drafts around the net. No Connors, McKenzie or Collard.

AFL Talent Manager Shifter has listed his top 30 for this year's draft. Hmmm......

Allan was listed first because it's in alphabetical order - although I personally like the look of him

Reading through I found a kid called Reid from the Bushrangers - who seems a good size

Height is what catches my eye first and then their weight

I must say I am surpised by the lack of weight some of these kids are carrying.

Edwards - 68.6kgs :o

N. Krakouer - 61kgs -  :help wet hanky anyone ;D

Moss - 69.9kgs

The problem with Kevin Sheehan's summaries is that he gives glowing reports of all the youngsters. Now that's his job to promote the U18s but you'd prefer more a pro and con report on each kid.

I guess you can read between the lines in some cases. If it says "he is an excellent kick on his preferred left foot" that can mean his right foot is only for standing on.

Unless Sellar, Selwood or Thorpe slip to 13 I cannot see our pick on this list of 30.

I just have the feeling we are looking for 185cm+ with skills, speed and vertical leap that is not named on this list.

If one of the Browns or Tippett is around at 26, I think thats a chance for our second rounder.

I disagree. I think Boak. O'Keefe or Proud are definitely in their sights for our first pick, then I think we'll pick another mid with pick 26 (eg Edwards). They'll then take a tall at 58 or 60 (eg Frawley, Collier,Grose, Schofied, etc).

Connors (182cm) and Collard (177cm) are not on this list either, and they also might take them.

I'm wondering if they're considering Chris Dawes with their last pick, despite his knee injury (194cm forward), because he's from Brighton Grammar, where Francis Jackson worked prior to this year.

Armitage you would think would be another if he's still around at 13 especially with Craig McRae down at Punt Rd. We have Foley, White and Krak under the 180cm mark so IMO I don't we need anymore. I also hope we don't go for any of the very lightweight kids either. Would be very happy to get Grose at 60 though.

Sellar should slip a little given at "only" 195cm he won't become a ruckman in the AFL. Likewise apart from Leuenberger the other young ruckman may fall to the third round at least IMHO.

I think Proud and Boak will be gone by pick 13.  O'Keefe is very similar to how Pettifer was rated.  Very interesting draft coming up.

I am sure Francis Jackson will do the business.
