Do the Tiges now have the youngest list?
« on: November 27, 2006, 03:39:10 AM »
25 players under 23 years of age must make us close to the youngest side in the comp. We now have only 9 Tigers older than 25 and Richo has become the old man of the side lol.

Youngsters developing
18 - Collins, Connors, Edwards, JON, Riewoldt
19 - Casserly, Deledio, Hughes, McGuane, Peterson, White, Graham
20 - Jackson, Meyer, Patto, Polo, Raines, Tambling, Thursfield
21 - Foley, Hartigan, Schulz, Howat
22 - Moore, Polak

Peaking
23 - Krak
24 - Cogs, Hyde, Newman, Pettifer
25 - Paddy, Tuck
26 - Hall, Knobel
27 - Tivs
28 - Joel, Browny, Johnson, Simmo

Nearing retirement
30 - Gas
31 - Richo

I think Tezza made that claim after the draft. However, someone would have to redo the maths after the draft.

Hopefully that list will not only bring us a bit of glory but the calibre of it will be able to be sustained without having to go through dramatic eras like we've seen in the last three or so years of turning over an entire list.  Terry needed a five year contract just to do that.  I'd like to see it extended this year so he has the chance to work on what he's recruited.

All that is subject of course to the quality he has or hasn't recruited.  I reckon we'll have a better idea next year of where we're at and how long it will take.

But certainly looks more optimistic than a couple of years ago.

Billy Nicholls, who? lol

Sorry WP  :bow
