I would have missed the rain completely except that the train I was on waited 100 meters from Caufield station for about 5 minutes. I missed my connecting tram because of it. Then, as I walked in the peeing (<-- what's this? this is not what I typed lol) down rain to the tram stop, I had to listen to the Connex guy telling the people waiting on the platform that there was a signal fault (again! always a signal fault when it rains) and no train could leave until the appropriate paper work had been filled in. WTF!!!! Thanks a lot Connex. I expect no less. lol.

They said lightning struck the signal box at Caulfield. I couldn't tell the difference from their normal service  :lol.

We've had more than enough rain up here.  Finally they've reduced our water restrictions from Level 6 to 0 till the Hinze dam stops overflowing.  All this rain is making it very hard for hubby to get any work done.  Bring on the sun. 8)

Yeah our dam is over 100% and just overflowing so the powers that be have relaxed our restrictions until the dam levels fall under the 100%.  We had a "wet weekend" the Australia Day long weekend, where we could wash our cars, boats, houses etc and actually put the beach showers back on.

Re swimming in June - depends on how you like cold water.  Not as cold as down south of course.  I personally find it too cold then - wouldn't swim until Sept or Oct.   We generally have about one really cold week in winter (lowest day time temperature is 15 degrees but can get quite cold at night)
