Injured spine - is it a worry?
« on: January 30, 2007, 04:31:41 PM »
A SEN caller who attends Richmond training mentioned all our injured talls at the moment.

Tigers with interrupted preseasons:

FB.  Thursty
CHB:
Ruck: Simmo
CHF: Richo
FF:  Schulz/Kingsley

Three of these are "just" hammies but is this a worry come season proper?

As an aside, Saint Andrew Thompson responded to the caller saying Richo's tightness in his back/hammies may be just part of what happens when the guys get back into competitive full-scale training.  The Saints have only just started theirs in the past week so we would be ahead of them.

Phew! I thought the back spasms had escalated when I read the topic.  :o

It would be interesting to see who is injured at other clubs due to pre-season training. I don't think we're too badly off but have nothing to compare against as a gauge.
We've had more than our fair share of bad injuries in the last 2 seasons. I don't want any at all but hammies in pre-season don't bother me too much. I'd rather have them now than during the season. Simmo's break is a bugger.

not a worry at all, seaon proper is still a while away and we finally have personnel who can fill in spots and keep us competitive
