Kepler Bradley - our pick 6
« on: July 10, 2004, 11:18:04 PM »
Just curious what everyone thought of him today given he was picked up by Essendon using our original pick 6 in last year's draft which we traded along with pick 20 to get Nathan Brown?

Looks like he'll be a ten year player. Dustin Fletcher incarnate.

If we can build up to be a solid team in 3 years time and have a period of sustained success for about 3 years then I suppose getting Nathan Brown wouldn't have been a waste. If we have to wait 5 or more years to see success, we would have lost out on the deal.

I cant see us being a success within 5 years John.
Its got so bad watching us now,l cant see us being successful at all for a long time yet.
We could possibly have half the list be scrutinised, which takes 2-3 years to turn over, then the new players will have to be developed (another 3-4 years).
And even then we'll be banking on our less than impressive recruitment dept to get it nearly 100% right too.
I dont think Kepler was outstanding today,he will be a good player though.
I watched Wells win the game for North tonight though, and cryed into my beer :'(

The rest l just wasted.
