It's hard to find 4 players to be left out of the squad to bring it down to 24.
Maybe:
Edwards
Graham (unless Patto not fit)
Meyer

and it's tough to find another. We probably need Hughes with KK and Sgt out

Knobel, Patto and Graham are iffy at this stage. We'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if any of them train firstly and then fully with the main squad. I think you're right about Clever getting a game GB if they miss. We're going to be a short albeit quick side if they do.

Danny should play based on his training form yesterday. I would like us to give Edwards a go just to have one of our newbies in the side so we can see how he goes up against real opposition but I won't be surprised if he is left out.

The Tiges are having their team meeting at the moment after training. Patto said he hopes to play on Sunday but he has to wait for the team meeting to confirm. While the main squad were doing their drills Patto, Knobel and Graham were working on their tapwork with Chocco Royal.

Your backline torch isn't far away from the group they had in a huddle at training. Add Lids, Moore and possibly Cleve (perhaps filling if Polak needs to 2nd ruck) and take out White.

Patto might come up for the game too.

Knobel prize up for grabs
24 February 2007   Herald-Sun
Rebecca Williams

RICHMOND coach Terry Wallace has urged Trent Knobel to seize his opportunity as the club's front-line ruckman in the absence of the injured Troy Simmonds in the NAB Cup.

With Simmonds sidelined until the start of the regular season, Knobel has the chance to put an injury-plagued year behind him in tomorrow's clash against Geelong at Skilled Stadium.

The former Saint was restricted to three games in 2006 because of leg and ankle injuries.

"Troy showed last year that he's our premier ruckman and Trent really didn't have much opportunity last year just with injury," Wallace said.

"We would expect him to be able to step up and play the footy that he played 12 months ago."

But Wallace said young talls Angus Graham and Adam Pattison also had the chance to show they could provide support.

Pattison, who suffered a corked thigh eight days ago, has been included in Richmond's squad.

He completed yesterday's light training session at Punt Rd, but Wallace said the club would wait to see how he pulled up to make a decision on his availability.

"He got through the training session OK, so really now it's more or less how he pulls up," he said. "We'll speak to the doctors and see whether he's right to go."

Former Cat Kent Kingsley won't play against his old team.

"He hurt his ankle last week and it's still a bit impinging, just a bit sore," Wallace said.

"He would have liked to get it out of the way and knock it over. But it's a no-risk policy that we take into it, so the choice was taken out of his own hands."

SEN just said there's a late change for us in tomorrow's game.

Kane Johnson is out and Daniel Jackson is in. They didn't say why Sugar will miss.

thats a great call for jono. Leave him out for the first two games i think and give the juniors some quality time.

I'd even go so far as to leaving a few seniors at home if we have to travel to Darwin next week.

They know their bodies by now and will prepare accordingly.
