Favourite cartoon characters
« on: February 23, 2007, 07:16:39 AM »
Tiga reminiscing about Secret Squirrel yesterday make me think of cartoons that use to be on early morning and arvo tv. I always use to watch Rocky and Bullwinkle with Boris and Natasha and of course bugs bunny.

What were you guys and gals favourite cartoon characters as a kid (or even now as a big kid lol)?

Used to watch Prince Planet, Marine Boy, Scooby Doo and Wacky Races. My older borther was always watching bloody Giagantor (sp?) - hated it.

But my all time favourite cartoon character is Slyvester the Cat  ;D

Peeeeee Kapow!, WP.  ;D (I've got the Gigantor theme in my head now  :banghead)

I was a big fan of Super Chicken (& Fred & the super coop). I always found Foghorn Leghorn amusing. :thumbsup
More bemused than anything by Wacky Races.  :-\ Liked Mutley's laugh though.

 :clapping :cheers :clapping :bow

With ya on that 632 RFC - I'm massive Thunderbirds fan. Actually have an old 9mm (or whatever size they are) movie that came with the Haminex Projector my parents bought when we kids - got tons of old home movies.

The Thunderbirds is only thing the Sci-Fi channel on Foxtel has going for it  :thumbsup The Thunderbirds and its very poor cousin Captain Scarlett  ;D

I'm not the biggest fan of Anime but the ABC in the 80's showed a Anime Sci-Fi cartoon called Star Blazers before the Goodies and Dr Who. It was a converted battleship/spaceship called Argo that had to travel through space to save the Earth from a Alien race trying to destroy the Earth with radioactive pollution bombs. Loved it as a kid.

I loved the Thunderbirds (still do) and apart from the usual fare already mentioned, I was a
big fan of Batfink, Karate and their evil Arch enemy "The Frog".
Also liked Fearless Fly...My glasses, my glasses!  :lol
