A co-operative effort from Richmond and Sydney coaches could see a tantalising match-up between dual Brownlow medallist Adam Goodes and 2005 rising star Brett Deledio in the NAB regional challenge match at Manuka today.

"It's not too important as far as his form in the season goes, I think sometimes we put too many eggs in one basket rather than spreading the load," he said.

"He already has a fair bit of expectation placed on him because he was a No1 draft pick, but he is a very good player so he deals with it well."

I gather Lids got a bit of a touch up from Goodes :-\

That's no disgrace - Goodes is the 'Goods' - They don't come much better.

Thanks for the link.  I've noticed they don't appear anymore on Gettys Images.

Interesting that Wallace didn't have Tucky in his choice of our regular midfield for round 1.

Goodes did outplay Lids especially in the first half. Neither player had a massive impact after that. IMO young guys v young guys we took the points for sure which explains why we won the second half of the game.

We need our young guys to be better than theirs and stand up in the seniors because we lack enough mid-aged players thanks to Geisch and Spud's recruiting  :scream. Roos has the luxury of playing a side with just one Swan under 21 so their young guys can take their time developing.
